Love is Blind Season 11 Episodes 6-8 wastes no time picking up where the drama with Scott “Stew” and Jax left off. Based on the preview at the end of Episode 5, Stew and Jax meet up to talk about what happened at the end of the Pods phase. Strangely, the whole conversation plays out pretty tame with no drama, and the two sound like they’ll just remain good friends. Maybe off-camera and other texts happened, but it might be saved for the Reunion at the end of the season.
But back to sunny, sunny Tulum, Mexico, where the five engaged Pod couples begin their fun vacation and get to meet the other couples. The production has each couple record their first morning and say how that went—going as far as revealing if they had sex last night or not. Multiple men talk about how they were being a gentleman when discussing sex, which almost sounds like they all had a script to say something along those lines for some reason.
Love is Blind Season 11 Episode 6 is half-couples questionnaire and half-tea party (not talking about actual liquid tea here). The first part mostly contains some silly stories and memorable lines, but these couples simply feel like couples that are entering their honeymoon phase of dating. Aneha tells Cam she isn’t lavish enough to buy a Bentley instead of a more practical vehicle, like a Toyota Corolla or Camry. She jokingly calls it “the immigrant car of choice.”
Wilson feels like he’s trying too hard to love Wilnie in Love is Blind Season 11 Episodes 6-8.

John and Sarah continue having conversations about his future with multiple sclerosis (MS), while Rob tells Michaella a story about how he bought a bunch of Proactiv and his friends were all buying Air Force One’s at the mall when he was younger. Meanwhile, Captain Blake tells Erika a story about one of his trips where he was celebrating with other captains and belly flopping with Russian diplomats—painting a picture for Erika to understand the fun side of his adventures around the world.
However, Erika is still concerned about whether she would be open to working while traveling with him, or even if she flew to his destination in Europe and worked abroad for a month. So, there’s still some trouble brewing on this topic.
Wilson and Wilnie are the most unconvincing couple of the bunch, in terms of compatibility. In almost every moment in Love Is Blind Season 11 Episodes 6-8, Wilson feels like he’s trying to love Wilnie rather than actually being in love with her. They appear to have some fun on some of their Mexico trip, but Wilnie can’t help but feel like she’s Wilson’s second choice.
Wilnie explains how she feels Wilson’s other connection in the Pods, Malaine, is equal to or stronger than the one between Wilson and Wilnie. Of course, audiences saw that Malaine left the Pods of her own volition, saying how she didn’t feel like Wilson is ready for marriage.

As with previous seasons of Love Is Blind, the drama and tea come out at the group hangouts. The slow-motion walk-ins of the women in swimwear and some shirtless men at the pool is also always a treat for audiences. John’s defined abs can surely cook some eggs on there.
Out of the gate at the first Mexico group day hangout, Michaella spills all her opinions of people, but mostly in the confessional footage. She tells the camera how she doesn’t know how Erika and Blake will work out since “Erika works in Connecticut”—implying that someone living in Connecticut wouldn’t be open to traveling across the world. At first, it seems like Michaella says that out of nowhere.
But then, Blake revealed the first thing Erika asked off-camera was if Cam was Black. Like what?! So, maybe Erika has lived a very sheltered life, and the culture shock of traveling may hold some truth. For Wilson and Wilnie, Wilnie keeps asking others to corroborate Wilson’s story about how he navigated his other Pod girlfriend, Malaine. Wilnie tells the confessional that the story Wilson told her isn’t adding up.
By the end of Episode 6, much of Wilson and Wilnie’s relationship doesn’t add up because Wilnie questions whether Wilson truly loves her in one moment. Then, a cut made a couple of minutes later in the conversation, she says, “I’m falling in love with you so fast, Wilson.” Something is fishy here, or something has to be edited out.
Rob’s slick-talking puts him at the center of Love Is Blind Season 11 Episode 6.

For the most part in Love Is Blind Season 11 Episode 6, John, Sarah, Rob, Blake, Erika, Aneha, and Cam appear the most tame. Rob feels like the leader of the party, which kind of makes sense since he’s the oldest one there; it’s his slick-talking Boston-Irishness always exuding off of him that makes for a good time.
It’s kind of funny when Aneha runs away from the drama when Wilnie is asking some of the others about Wilson. In their own private pool, Aneha and Cam address Aneha’s main concern that she’s worried about him meeting her family since he’s not Hindu or a Brown man. However, Cam assures Aneha that he’s not sweating it. When Aneha asks if Cam has ever dated other cultures and ethnicities, he reveals he’s dated a Ghanaian and a Thai-Bajan woman before, so Cam is in green flag territory for now.
Love Is Blind Season 11 Episode 7 opens with another check-in with the couples and light conversations about what each couple’s partners can expect for living conditions back home. The most intriguing takeaway is that Michaella says in a confessional that she’s never lived with anyone else before.
That’s pretty vague about what levels of living together she means, but it can seem a little strange to someone else hearing that a 35-year-old has never been in a shared living scenario. This issue doesn’t come back up in Love Is Blind Season 11 Episodes 6-8, so it’s probably not a dealbreaker until she feels out living with Rob.
Have none of John’s past partners challenged him before?

On the last night in Mexico, all five couples hung out again, and it was an even tamer get-together than the first one. As far as tea goes, Sarah discusses with some of the other women about John’s forgetfulness to clean sometimes. Sarah mentions how it irked her to see John’s beard hair in the sink for two days, and he was a little “sassy” about it. Erika spills that she’s never laughed in her previous relationships before Blake, making her seem very sus about what her previous partners were like. Must be some unfunny guys in Connecticut!
Aneha talks to Rob one-on-one at the party bar since they dated a bit in the Pods. For those looking for scandal here, there isn’t any. Aneha and Rob have a productive conversation about how they like each other’s partners and how it all worked out, and that they can stay good friends.
John also comes to talk to Aneha, more as a conversation about how he has so much clarity with Sarah. John talks about how conservative he can be and is mostly stuck in his ways of thinking, but he enjoys that Sarah challenges his way of thinking. But does this mean that none of John’s past partners challenged him before?

Post-group hang number two, Rob and Michaella have a touching moment where they exchange “I love you” to each other while packing and talking. When Wilson and Wilnie finish packing, they unpack more about whether they’re at the level to love each other as husband and wife. Wilnie explains that today she knows how to be a girlfriend, not a wife, but is willing to “ride the rollercoaster.”
Aneha and Cam look to be the most stressed-out couple while packing up to leave Mexico because Aneha admits she may be overthinking the fact that Cam is white and her family will not like that. Cam looks more and more stressed the more Aneha continues to bring it up, but calmly says that he’ll let her know if it’s affecting him negatively in any way.
Cam genuinely brings up wanting to meet Aneha’s parents, but he needs to chill with bringing up how he reads the Bhagavad Gita. Also, it’s a bit strange that Cam says he identifies as Christian but practices Hinduism most of the time. It’s not unheard of, but quite unorthodox for these circumstances. There’s also no footage yet that shows he’s carrying the book.
The Love Is Blind editors are unforgiving towards John.

The rest of Love Is Blind Season 11 Episode 7 shows the couples moving into their temporary TV show living space, before heading off to their respective homes. Blake and Erika settle into the condo space, as Blake mentions only responding to three people who messaged him after getting their phones back.
Erika’s phone, meanwhile, is blowing up. As Cam and Aneha finish mapping out the condo, Aneha reveals she spoke with her parents sometime between the airport and arriving at the condo. Aneha’s mom apparently tells Aneha they don’t want to meet Cam or want any part of the social experiment and filming. Cam presents more bummed out than angry from hearing all that.
To cap off Episode 7, Sarah and John have their first on-camera talk that almost becomes a rough conflict. The Love Is Blind editors are unforgiving to John here, as the situation goes from him leaving chicken tenders out on the sink—yep, not in Tupperware or on a covered plate. The camera crew also picks up John’s frustration dealing with paying a bill over the phone or online.

Then, the edit cuts to Sarah and John talking about how Sarah found it off-putting when John sternly talked to the airport staff after finding out they lost Sarah’s luggage. Essentially, through the editing and the off-camera airport situation, John appears to have anger issues—a major red flag for Sarah, as she explains how her past relationships were like that. Sarah and John reach an understanding of the situation as the episode ends.
Love Is Blind Season 11 Episode 8 saves the best tea for the last episode of this batch release. All five couples visit the other partner’s home, and some of them begin meeting each other’s friends and/or family. Wilson unveils that he recently moved back into his parents’ basement, where he lives with his cute dog, Ten. It’s relatively cozy, but everything is organized and clean—sucks that Ten pees near Wilnie upon first impressions! Like many dogs, Ten is too excited to meet someone new.
As for Wilnie’s place, the house is pretty standard, and she lives with her sister. The sister isn’t there at the time, but Wilson and Wilnie go through all the rooms. Unfortunately, Wilson’s line from the preview at the end of Love Is Blind Season 11 Episode 5 doesn’t come up in this batch because Wilnie’s place isn’t messy in this episode.
Later in the episode, Wilson and Wilnie go out on a dinner date with Wilnie’s friends, and something must’ve possessed Wilson to say it out loud. Wilson tells Wilnie’s friends, “She had more personality in the Pods.” He elaborates that Wilnie’s not as impressionable or talking as deeply as she was in the Pods. Wilnie’s face in the background shows it all; she’s not impressed.

Moving on to Aneha’s place, hers is fairly messy and cramped. Cam sees all of Aneha’s clothes everywhere, which she says was from her scrambling to pack for the show. To be fair to Aneha, the only mess is her clothes being everywhere. However, $3,000 for that small space is criminal. Cam isn’t completely shocked by it all, though. At Cam’s place, he lives with his sister Karina and another roommate named Mookie.
Karina’s main concern about Aneha and her family is whether they’ll attend the wedding and whether they’d be open to accepting Cam at some point. Ultimately, Aneha reassures Karina a bit by telling her that if Cam can meet and impress her sister, that’s good enough for her. This conversation between Karina and Aneha is super touching because it’s easy to see that Karina speaks her mind, and even pats herself on the back when she says she raised Cam to live with another woman.
The part that broke the immersion of getting intimate in this conversation between Karina and Aneha is the wild camera work while the two are talking. Around the 24-minute mark of Episode 8, the camera dips down to Aneha’s hands and a bowl of fries. For a second, it looks like, ‘Oh, did Aneha take off the engagement ring?’ But the ring is there, so it’s a very strange shot the Love Is Blind camera crewperson does here.
After Aneha meets Karina and Mookie, Cam and Aneha reach their first small fight/impasse while cooking tofu. Aneha slightly belittles Cam in saying how “80-90 percent of the time” Cam says, “I don’t know,” whenever she asks him a question. On the Mexico trip, Aneha was calling him “Cam with a plan,” but pivots the other way now. The fact that she says she isn’t testing Cam after literally revealing she intentionally left a light on all day to see what Cam would say.
The heart of Love is Blind Season 11 comes when Michaella meets Rob’s whole family.

Aneha brings up a good point that Cam isn’t asking her as many questions as she is about their future, making it seem like he’s not ready for marriage at all. Not to shame him for being very poorly prepared, but he seems too fixated on the fact that Aneha’s parents don’t want to meet him.
It’s like Cam’s gears have stopped turning until he finally meets Aneha’s family. In Aneha’s defense, she also told Cam in the Pods she requires reassurance from her partner, and he’s not doing that either. But remember, Cam says the tofu tastes just like chicken. Take a shot for every time he mentions the tofu!
When Michaella meets Rob’s whole family, this is the heart of Love is Blind Season 11 Episodes 6-8. There are still a few more episodes to go, but the conversation between Rob and his mom, Mary, is very heartwarming. After Mary asks Michaella some questions about who she is, Michaella and Rob’s other family leave Rob and his mom to talk alone. It’s a bit funny but endearing when Mary asks Rob if the Love is Blind crew is still filming, but decides to share her conversation regardless of whether the cameras are on.
Mary talks about how she recently received bad news about someone close who’s undergoing chemotherapy, and the show evidently seems to cut out who Mary and Rob are talking about—for confidentiality reasons, most likely. The main point is that it makes Mary think about Rob’s father, who passed away, and how he would’ve loved to be there in that moment and at the wedding.

When Michaella and the rest of Rob’s family re-enter the table conversation, Mary cries a bit, saying how she feels alone being at this small gathering without her husband. But by the end of the gathering, Mary gives a half-blessing for Michaella, and the whole table dedicates a round of drinks to Rob’s father.
Sarah and John visit John’s parents’ house, where Sarah meets John’s parents and two sisters. Aside from the standard questions about what Sarah does for a living, one of the big conversation points between Sarah and John’s parents is about religion.
Sarah explains she grew up around parents who weren’t very religious, so she’s the same way—implying she’s likely to be an atheist or identifies with a religion, just not currently practicing. Sarah reassures John’s family that she doesn’t mind John and his family’s Christian beliefs, but they don’t necessarily press her about potentially converting either.
Sarah looks to have navigated the conversations around religion well, as it shows them happy in the living room and smiling in the b-roll. The most troubling part about Sarah and John’s visit is during John’s confessional. John is explaining how religion is important to him, but his giant thighs are distracting! Whoever on the Love Is Blind production thought to shoot a front, low-angle shot of John is an absolute menace to society.
Overall, Love is Blind Season 11 Episodes 6-8 are a mildly spiced burrito. Some moments bring out small fights and conflicts, but nothing gets blown out of proportion. In some ways, these Bostonian participants are more mature, but in others, they’re still young and learning social cues.
Wedding pressures keep building, and some couples look like they may be on thin ice with dealbreakers. Which couples will overcome their differences, and which couples cannot? The final stretch is close, and another messy group hangs appears to be imminent. One final temptation test remains.
