During a special panel taking place on Day 1 of Anime Expo 2026, Supervising director Kenji Kamiyama, director Shunsuke Tada, and producer Hitoshi Ito debuted the trailer and teaser poster of Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi.
In the trailer, the voiceover paints a scene. The Jedi and Sith are gone. The galaxy is rife with chaos, setting the stage for a would-be hero to rise up and claim their space within a rapidly turbulent era. For Lah Kara, she might be the hero the galaxy is looking for.

There will, of course, be obstacles. As seen in the trailer, a mysterious helmeted figure clad in black calling themselves Nawaam positions themselves as the deliverer of order. Through clever editing, Nawaam is easily positioned as one of the dark side. However, as the trailer continues to play out, this becomes more dubious. Questions of who is and isn’t a Jedi at heart may naturally arise throughout this series.
“Does the Force actually guide you?” They ask, as the camera pans to Lah Kara’s face, reflecting a red glow indicative of something more. With a shocked gasp from the young woman, the trailer ends, revealing the release date and one final hint at something exciting to spark speculation.
What is Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi about?
A continuation of the story established in “The Ninth Jedi” and “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope,” this new series focuses on Lah Kara’s journey since. In it, she continues to train in the ways of the Jedi under Margrave Juro. As described in the press release, Kara goes on an epic journey of self-discovery as she and Juro’s small fellowship of Jedi-in-training embark on a quest to save her father.
