Two worlds connected by death and suffering with no end in sight collide in the latest Dead by Daylight collection from Behaviour Interactive. Three favorite characters from NieR:Automata find new life (and death) in the Entity’s realm.

“I think NieR:Automata is a game that leaves its mark on anyone who plays it, and we’re thrilled to welcome it into the world of Dead by Daylight,” shares Dave Richard, Creative Director on Dead by Daylight.

“Beyond the amazing characters and incredible visuals, there’s a definite connection between the themes of our two universes, both dealing with cycles of violence and suffering. Bringing 2B, A2, and Emil into The Fog gave us a chance to help celebrate what makes NieR:Automata so special to us.”

For Survivors, the collection features 2B and A2 as Legendary Outfits for Feng Min and Yui Kimura. As for the Killer, the familiar ever-smiling Emil steps into the fray for The Legion. With these two games joining forces in this collaboration, ready yourself for the continuation of hopelessness, loss, and despair that made fans everywhere fall in love with both properties in the first place.

A Look Inside the Collection

What else is coming this October?

Behaviour Interactive previously announced everything coming to the game in October 2026 to help players ring in the spooky season properly. Players can now enjoy the return of the Hallowed Blight Collection, with three new characters, including Jason Voorhees, getting a taste of extra grossness in their looks.

The Diablo Collection will drop October 20th. This collection will feature six new outfits inspired by different characters and classes within the series. Yes, you can expect Lilith to rise up and appear in this collection, and the original voice actors have recorded new lines of dialogue to add an extra layer of fun for players to enjoy.

Haunted by Daylight returns October 13th, with the Behaviour Interactive team embracing a more traditional Halloween aesthetic for the realm. New changes coming to this three-week-long event include the closure of the Void Realm. Instead, Void Rifts, once opened, become portals that let players traverse the Map, giving them more in-game options.

What is Dead by Daylight?

For those new to this behemoth of horror gaming, Dead by Daylight, developed by Behaviour Interactive, is an asymmetrical multiplayer experience that pits survivors against a killer. In the game, you are trapped forever in a realm of cosmic evil by The Entity, and play as either one of four determined Survivors or the bloodthirsty Killer hunting them. It’s a cool twist to the Slasher genre.

Initially released in 2016, this asymmetrical horror game has continuously expanded its roster of characters to include countless iconic horror properties from film, television, gaming, and beyond. From its large community to the multitude of character options to choose from, jumping into new games doesn’t require as much catching up as you might think.

This collection is one of many that players have gained access to over the past decade within the game. Along with this collection, players can expect the Diablo Collection coming October 20th, and the Hallowed Blight Collection this fall.

The NieR:Automata Collection will be available in Dead by Daylight starting October 6, 2026.
