Secret Lairs’ philanthropy drops have been the best things that I have learned about since I started my journey with Magic: The Gathering. And now, Magic: The Gathering’s specialty brand is here with a new one. The Secret Lair x Global Fund for Women: Their Magic is Limitless was just announced by Wizards of the Coast.
While it’s easy to celebrate the women of Magic: The Gathering, this new philanthropic drop focuses on showcasing the ways in which women serve, mentor, love, and the legacies they leave throughout that process. During our time at MagicCon Las Vegas, we got the chance to speak with some of the women behind the game we love so much.

Additionally, the charity chosen reflects the diversity of women and the support they need throughout their lives. If you’re unfamiliar, the Global Fund for Women is one of the world’s leading foundations for gender justice. Serving multiple organizations across the globe, this collaboration captures the beauty, resilience, ferocity, and love that women have shown throughout our lives, and as a woman in Magic, it means a lot to feel seen.
“Their Magic is Limitless celebrates the women of Magic, both on the cards and behind the drop,” said Lindsey Bartell, Senior Director of Secret Lair, in a press release from Wizards. “From the characters to the artists to the creative team, every part of it is rooted in connection, mentorship, and the many ways women uplift each other. We’re proud to support Global Fund for Women with a drop shaped by the same spirit it celebrates: women creating, leading, mentoring, and championing one another.”

Secret Lair x Global Fund for Women: Their Magic is Limitless centers the kind of connection that turns individual power into collective change. Global Fund for Women resources grassroots leaders and feminist movements working in their own communities, and this drop carries that spirit into Magic through mentorship, family, collaboration, love, legacy, and women standing together across the Multiverse.
Like other Philanthropic drops, the Secret Lair x Global Fund for Women: Their Magic is Limitless drop is printed to order, raising funds for the organization, with 50% (less third party transaction fees) of the product price donated to the fund. In 2025, the Nuestra Magia drop raised over one million dollars for the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures.
As an organization, the Global Fund for Women has worked in over 180 countries since 1987 and supported over 5,000 organizations. Most importantly, though, the organization uses grants to support partners in its network on issues that recognize that gender justice is deeply interconnected with other elements of life. Climate justice, freedom from violence, reproductive rights, and racial justice are all gender justice. We’re all on this little blue dot together, and taking care of each other by recognizing our interconnected nature is the least we can do.

The cards themselves showcase artists’ takes on women of all ages, and the flavor text on each one calls to each of the art’s inspirations. Whether that be mentorship, motherhood, or fight. It’s rare to see women appreciated in their multitudes, but Magic: The Gathering continues to work to put that front and center. Most importantly, the set reminds us that as we move forward, we should be making sure we are also extending our hand backward to keep the doors open for the women behind us.
