EA Sports FC 27 is going all in on sharing what’s coming to their updated title. With a brand-new gameplay trailer, EA Sports is sharing that players can expect an all-new area called The Grounds, which will function as a playground of sorts in the same vein as NBA 2K’s The City. The studio also shared a high-level look at what’s coming to both the attacking and defending side of the ball. And we even got some Jude Bellingham news.
But in that trailer, it’s not just cover athlete Kylian Mbappé playing the game; his Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham has joined the fun. In addition to the gameplay tease of a trailer, Bellingham also debuted as one of the cover athletes for the EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition. And with that news, it also gave players new information on the pre-order bonuses they can expect.

Jude Bellingham joins Kylian Mbappé as an EA Sports FC 27 cover athlete
Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham as the faces of the EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition just makes sense. Not only do the striker and winger play together at Real Madrid, but both players broke new ground with historic records all of their own.
Now on his third EA Sports FC cover, Jude Bellingham’s dominance on both offense and defense kept England advancing all the way to the Semi-Finals of the 2026 World Cup. While the Three Lions didn’t take home the trophy, they did secure third place in the tournament after defeating Mbappé’s France in a thrilling 4-6 game.
“Every time I’ve had the chance to be part of EA SPORTS FC, it’s been a special moment, and coming back for a third cover alongside Kylian is no different,” commented Jude Bellingham in a press release. “I’m looking forward to fans getting stuck into FC 27, experiencing everything the game has to offer, and creating plenty of new memories along the way.”
After scoring seven goals in the 2026 World Cup, Jude Bellingham became his national team’s top scorer in a single World Cup, the highest-scoring midfielder of the tournament’s history, and made it halfway to England’s top-scoring players in the World Cup, trailing Harry Kane’s 14 goals by just seven, and with fewer World Cup appearances.
Bellingham joins Kylian Mbappé, who is headlining EA Sports FC 27 for the fourth time in the franchise’s history and the first time since 2022. After a stellar season with Real Madrid and becoming the World Cup’s top-scoring player with 22 goals in his history in the tournament, it’s only natural that Mbappé takes his place on the Standard Edition of the game.
