It’s finally time for a first look at the EA Sports FC 27 gameplay. The gameplay trailer includes the social playground of The Grounds, the all-new FUT Gallery, and a spotlight on the “true-to-life gameplay” improvements across all modes that the developer has focused on in its sports titles.

Jude Bellingham joins Kylian Mbappé as cover athlete
Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham as the faces of the EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition just makes sense. Not only do the striker and winger play together at Real Madrid, but both players broke new ground with historic records all of their own.
Now on his third EA Sports FC cover, Jude Bellingham’s dominance on both offense and defense kept England advancing all the way to the Semi-Finals of the 2026 World Cup. While the Three Lions didn’t take home the trophy, they did secure third place in the tournament after defeating Mbappé’s France in a thrilling 4-6 game.
“Every time I’ve had the chance to be part of EA SPORTS FC, it’s been a special moment, and coming back for a third cover alongside Kylian is no different,” commented Jude Bellingham in a press release. “I’m looking forward to fans getting stuck into FC 27, experiencing everything the game has to offer, and creating plenty of new memories along the way.”
After scoring seven goals in the 2026 World Cup, Jude Bellingham became his national team’s top scorer in a single World Cup, the highest-scoring midfielder of the tournament’s history, and made it halfway to England’s top-scoring players in the World Cup, trailing Harry Kane’s 14 goals by just seven, and with fewer World Cup appearances.
Bellingham joins Kylian Mbappé, who is headlining EA Sports FC 27 for the fourth time in the franchise’s history and the first time since 2022. After a stellar season with Real Madrid and becoming the World Cup’s top-scoring player with 22 goals in his history in the tournament, it’s only natural that Mbappé takes his place on the Standard Edition of the game.
“I’m very proud to be featured across three editions of EA SPORTS FC 27, and to share the Ultimate Plus Edition cover alongside my Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham,” said Kylian Mbappé. “Every season brings fresh challenges and new opportunities, and I’m excited to see fans write their own stories in FC 27.”
What is new for EA Sports FC 27 gameplay?
Much like last time, the EA Sports team has stated that it looked to community feedback to drive the next chapter in EA Sports FC. With FC 27, the developers have added a new playground with The Grounds (similar to NBA 2K’s The City), rebuilt Career mode with a Career Transfer Market, and an “All-New FUT.”

When it comes to the smaller updates on the EA Sports FC 27 gameplay side, the studio also shared that across all game modes, community-driven gameplay improvements are the focus.

The official description from EA Sports is:
A new social football playground, The Grounds, represents a side of football that’s never existed in EA SPORTS FC, until now. Expanding the Clubs experience with casual, fast-paced kickabouts to top-tier competition, explore three districts inspired by football heritage. Progress and personalize your player as you develop your game on and off the pitch with guidance from renowned mentors including Kylian Mbappé, Chloe Kelly, Paulo Dybala and Alex Hunter.
What is coming with the Career Transfer Market?
Players will be able to sign their next star in Manager Career with a Transfer Market that EA Sports is calling “faster, smarter, and more dynamic than ever.” With the TransferRoom, the studio hopes to enhance the experience, with player values influenced by club buying power, player potential, ratings, and form to deliver greater realism.
Additionally, with the new Transfer Market, players will have to master new negotiation tactics, compete in dynamic bidding wars, and navigate streamlined transfer processes as rival clubs recruit more strategically.
Football Ultimate Team updates are coming?
In EA Sports FC 27, players will have access ot the FUT Gallery, which will allow players to curate and immortalize their dream club and grade complete Sets of past and present Player Items across clubs, leagues, nations, and FUT campaigns to increase your Gallery Level. Each of which will allow you to earn rewards and build your Club’s identity throughout the new football season.
Are there pre-order bonuses?
Pre-orders are now available for EA Sports FC 27, which will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Also starting September 18, 2026, EA Play members can be among the first to step into The Grounds and experience more true-to-football gameplay in the game’s 10-hour early access trial.
