Section 9 Interactive and Epic Games Publishing announced that the upcoming atmospheric action-adventure game, End of Abyss, during Summer Game Fest. And it even came with a release date announcement: October 1, 2026, for the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Along with the reveal, the team released a brand new trailer offering a deeper look at the game’s exploration-driven gameplay and the twisted creatures lurking in the depths of the abyss.

What is End of Abyss about?
In keeping with Summer Game Fest’s trend of action-adventure titles, End of Abyss fits the genre bill while also offering players an atmospheric dark sci-fi world. Additionally, the game will focus on exploration and be supported by meaningful, tense combat.
In the depths of a mysterious underground compound, a mission to investigate disturbances of unknown origin spirals into a harrowing descent through a broken and abandoned world. Players take on the role of the young combat technician, Cel, as she uncovers the truth behind the facility’s derelict areas and confronts the monstrous creatures that roam them.
