Gen Z sensation Bluey returns on Disney+ on January 10 with ten brand-new episodes. The animated series is the number one most-watched series for preschoolers and kids in the U.S. in 2023. Critically beloved as well, the series has received multiple awards, including the International Kids Emmy Awards, a Television Critics Association Award, and the BAFTA Children & Young People Awards. Bluey is up for a 2024 Critics Choice Award as well, airing January 14.

The Australian series only continues to grow. The series is a franchise these days. The series includes three seasons already under its belt along with books, stage plays, and even a video game. Later in 2024, Disney+ will release the first ever Bluey special, “The Sign.” This special is due to premiere in Australia, followed by a later global launch through Disney+

The series, created and written by Joe Brumm, has had a host of guest stars drop in for episodes. Natalie Portman, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Rose Byrne are just some of the actors who have lent their voices to the series. David McCormack and Melanie Zanetti voice Bluey’s parents, Bandit and Chilli.

What is Bluey About?

In these new episodes, Bluey showcases the joyful simplicity found in families turning everyday events of family life. This is includes activities like making a cubby house (blanket fort) or a trip to the beach — into unique adventures that bring to life how children learn and grow through play.
