Paramount+ has become one of the key streamers when it comes to watching soccer in the United States. With the World Cup on the horizon, it’s no surprise that the streamer is expanding its sports documentary offerings with the new docuseries You Don’t Know Where I’m From, Dawg, a comprehensive look at the life and career of American soccer legend Clint Dempsey.

You Don’t Know Where I’m From, Dawg is produced in partnership with CBS Sports and directed by 45-time Emmy winner and CBS Sports’ Sr. Creative Director Pete Radovich. Set to premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on April 14, 2026, the five-episode series traces Dempsey’s dramatic and improbable journey from a trailer park in Nacogdoches, Texas, to starring for the US Men’s National Team. at the FIFA World Cup.

Through exclusive interviews with Dempsey, those closest to him, and the game’s legends with whom he shared the stage, this series examines one of the most unique and fiery professional athletes the United States has ever produced.

The upcoming series will take viewers through pivotal moments in Dempsey’s life – from managing through personal tragedy, moving across the world to play professionally in England, and ascending to become one of, if not the best, men’s soccer players in U.S. history.
