What is Every Year After about?

Every Year After promo image from Prime Video

Every Year After is a romantic and nostalgic story centered on the quintessential lake town of Barry’s Bay. The narrative unfolds over six years and one week, exploring the enduring impact of first loves and the pivotal choices that shape a person’s life.

The production is an adaptation of Fortune’s literary hit, which achieved commercial success before being optioned for a live-action series. The original novel, Every Summer After, spent 16 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list and has sold over one million copies to date.

The YA title hit its height thanks to BookTok, where the book’s primary hashtag garnered over 81.4 million views on TikTok. Much like Colleen Hooper’s books, which Prime Video is no stranger to adapting, this series is going to be bolstered by Booktok audiences.
