While it’s easy to praise Netflix for its international offerings of Korean Dramas, the streamer is steadily expanding its international series from other countries as well. Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming Indonesian original series, Made with Love, which explores the intersection of professional ambition and complex family dynamics in the culinary world.

The new series will star Mawar Eva de Jongh, Sha Ine Febriyanti, and Deva Mahenra. The series is scheduled to premiere globally on April 15, 2026. The announcement highlights a narrative centered on the intense friction of a high-pressure kitchen, set against the cultural and scenic backdrop of Bali.

Beyond the internal kitchen drama, the series is designed to showcase the rich culinary traditions of the Indonesian archipelago. Directed by Teddy Soeria Atmadja and produced by Teddy Soeria Atmadja, Musa Tambunan, and Ruly Sjafri, the series blends elements of romance and family drama with its central mother-daughter conflict.

What is Made with Love about?

The story follows Luka, an ambitious young chef driven to become the head chef at her mother’s legendary restaurant. However, her path to leadership is obstructed by the current head chef, who is her own mother. The narrative explores their clashing philosophies on cooking and management, illustrating the difficulty of balancing professional respect with a daughter’s desire for independence.

The conflict intensifies when Luka’s mother hires a new chef named Dennis. By placing her trust in an outsider, she inadvertently sparks a fierce rivalry between Luka and Dennis. As the two compete for dominance in the kitchen, a major challenge eventually forces the arch-rivals to collaborate. Through the chaos of their shared work, the characters begin to develop a mutual understanding that shifts their relationship from competition to an unexpected connection.
