During G-STAR 2025, Netmarble unveiled a new trailer for Mongil: Star Drive. The new trailer’s defining feature? The debut of “Sura,” a Korean-inspired region, for the upcoming game, which showcases a land steeped in Korean folklore.
Mongil: Star Dive, despite being a Korean title, has been highlighting its more European fantasy-inspired settings and characters. But with the new G-Star 2025 trailer, the game is showcasing a region dedicated to Korean culture.

What is Mongil: Star Dive?
Mongil: Star Dive is a game for PC/mobile (Android & iOS) is a gacha ARPG, published by Netmarble. As the sequel to 2013’s Monster Taming, the game is aiming to deliver Unreal Engine 5-powered visuals that make the most of the game’s tag-team combat and its unique Monsterling system that allows players to capture, collect, and equip companions in battle.

What to expect from the Sura region
Sura is a new region in the game where the story continues after the journey of the 9th Brigade, which includes Esther, Flare, and Reina. Centered on Naksan, a village in the region, Sura is a world where humans, dokkaebi (mythical creatures in Korean folklore often referred to as goblins), and various other demi-human races coexist.
Sura also marks the beginning of a new storyline for character Mina. From story to design, Sura highlights Korean culture through traditional architecture, motifs, and its color palettes. Additionally, the area will also feature new Dokkaebi Bosses, Duoxini and Hahnul, based on the historic military unit known as the “Tiger Hunter.”

This comes alongside the already revealed new character, Sangun, and other new Korean-themed characters, Jiwon and Gabi. Mina:

What is the release date?
Global pre-registration is currently available via the official website, Epic Games Store, Google Play, and the App Store. Players who sign up will receive the popular Francis (4-Star) character, with additional milestone rewards including the exclusive Mollumander Monsterling unlocked as the community grows.
