I like romance anime. It doesn’t matter if it’s echi or your standard josei, I’m going to be there day one. During AnimagiC 2025 in Germany, Crunchyroll announced a new slate of anime acquisitions. One that stood out is The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife.

With a little bit of the supernatural and a whole bunch of intrigue, the first look images released by Crunchyroll are the perfect way to pull you right in. Not to mention, the trailer is the right amount of a tease. The animation studio project No.9 team includes a talented staff that has worked on Belle, Witch Hat Atelier, and The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague. Crunchyroll will release worldwide, excluding Asia, but including India and the Indian subcontinent.

What is The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife About?

ⒸIWATOBINEKO/Futabasha,The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife Production Consortium

Produced by project No.9 (Senpai is an Otokonoko; Love After World), this rom-com supernatural series is based on mangaka Iwatobineko’s original work. In the series, Akira Tounome (Yohei Azakami)  is an invisible gentleman who runs a detective agency, and Shizuka Yakou (Yuka Nukui) is a mild-mannered human female who works there.

Office place romance starts to simmer when the fact that Shizuka can always find Akira even when he turns completely invisible starts to bring the two together. A quiet love begins to blossom between them as the invisible man and blind girl grow closer to each other.
