Korea-based publisher JoyCity and game developer WOORE announced FreeStyle Football 2 (FSF2) in the second quarter of 2026. If you haven’t heard of Freestyle Football, here’s what you need to know. The game is a premium 5v5 team soccer game designed for next-generation consoles.

Running on Unreal Engine 5 and launching on Xbox Series X|S, day one with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation, FSF2 blends the speed and strategy of authentic soccer with the personality-driven gameplay.

“FreeStyle Football 2 isn’t just about scoring goals, it’s about the thrill of building plays, working as a unit, and celebrating every hard-earned victory with your team,” said Myungsu Kim, CEO at WOORE. “With our deep customization, club system, and eSports-ready design, our goal (pun intended) is to provide the complete football gaming experience to the players around the world!”

The game will launch in English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Traditional & Simplified), Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese, bringing its unique brand of team-based sports action to players worldwide, and tapping into soccer fans across the world.

What is Freestyle Football 2?

In FreeStyle Football 2, each of the 12 characters available at launch will feature unique skills that dramatically shape playstyles. With traits that help push fast passes, boost teammates’ morale, or unleash a power shot at the perfect moment. From the trailer, it looks like a soccer meets hero MOBA classes, and that’s exciting. Because of that, matches are about coordination and teamwork with players controlling one character each in intense 5v5 online battles.

But FSF2 isn’t just about playing with others. It also features 10-20 hours of single-player gameplay, exploring each character’s backstory, just in case you can’t get a squad to come together on the pitch.

According to the announcement, the game will be available in multiple editions, including Basic, Premium, Deluxe, and Limited Club Edition. Ongoing support is the goal for WOORE with Season Passes, DLC, and ongoing content updates.
