Tower of God Season 2 has released a new poster, and voice actors are joining the cast. It’s been a while since the first season of the emotionally explosive Tower of God ended. The anime is based on the South Korean manhwa, released as a webtoon written and illustrated by S.I.U. The dark fantasy from Telecom Animation Film brought more fans to the ongoing, immersive story, and the first looks at Season 2 prompt more significant questions than where we left off.
Season 1 ended on a major, heartbreaking cliffhanger as Bam realized the true nature of Rachel, the girl he idolized. As his dreams and aspirations seemingly came crashing down around him, so too did the narrative we’d see thus far. Set within a world with seemingly straightforward rules — if you reach the top of a mysterious tower, everything can be yours — the story possesses many twists and turns. From familial strife and political moves to Bam’s story and the dynamics he builds, there’s no shortage of layered storylines.
Season two cast members include Taichi Ichikawa as the season’s new protagonist, Biore. Biore is a mysterious, long-haired man with overwhelming strength. Yuma Uchida will play the role of Ohno Sei, the main character of The Return of the Prince. Sayumi Watanabe will play the role of Renika, the selector’s elite. Saori Hayami reprises her role as Rache.
