We’ve covered the Razer Iskur V2 before. That said, I didn’t think it would offer real back support until I tried it myself. The racing-inspired gaming chair is a household object at this point, a must-have for gamers. But it’s also become synonymous with not supporting long hours of gaming.
As we spend more time in desk chairs with work from home, the limitations of traditional gaming chairs have led many to turn to the traditional office chair route. These office chairs may not match your setup’s aesthetic, but they will support your back all day. They don’t put visuals over performance, and it’s why they’re trusted.
That said, the Razer Iskur V2 leads with its lumbar support. Named the Razer Hyperflex Lumbar Support System, the proprietary full-range back support system features a 360° swivel design that adjusts up, down, in, and out. Controlled with two knobs, one on each side of the chair back, the support’s height range was easy to adjust and accommodate both me at 5’11” and my wife at 5’4″.
While Razer has built-in lumbar support in its other chairs, like the Razer Enki (often used in its collaborations with BLACKPINK or Sanrio), the full range of movement makes a big difference.
The Razer Iskur V2 delivers on its comfort promise through its options.

More importantly, setting and resetting the adjustments to make sure that you’re comfortable is easier than with other chairs. Additionally, if you tend to lean or favor one side of your body, or if you’re just trying to get comfortable, the lumbar support doesn’t just adjust up or down. It can also be moved right and left as well, allowing people who don’t sit conventionally in their chairs or are looking for lumbar support in a specific area the option to actually have that support.
This made it easy to set up as one person, and it reinforces Razer’s commitment to user-friendly products; thankfully, the chair doesn’t require Synapse in any way. Compared to the other chairs we have used before or are currently using in the house, the chair’s base height range is also far better. The chair height adjusts from 17.13 inches to 21.46 inches, letting you customize it as needed, and it’s also available in the Razer Quartz line.
Additionally, while the lumbar support system is the best feature of the chair, the adjustable armrests, which Razer markets as 4D, play a pretty big role in customizing your experience and making everything just a bit more comfortable. As mentioned at the start, gaming chairs, while standard for folks who play video games, aren’t exactly known for all-day comfort, despite what their marketing will tell you.

That’s also what makes me skeptical when a traditional racing-chair design promises true lower-back support. That said, the combination of armrest customization and Hyperflex Lumbar Support offers a range of options that lets you curate your space. More importantly, you can easily adjust it throughout the day as your needs change depending on what you’ve done or plan to do.
The Razer Iskur V2 also has a full recline option that never feels unsteady. You can lean back up to 152°, adjust how far you recline, and find the spot that is just right. Despite our size differences, it was clear how well the Razur Iskur 2 adapted to our different weights.
Also, the recline wasn’t something you had to force with a slight push. While I enjoy reclining, the sensitivity is always hit or miss with my previous and even current chair. Here, the recline feels intentional without being too difficult. That balance also impacts comfort, and the Iskur V2 captures that.
Good lumbar support in a gaming chair is actually possible.

The reason to contemplate buying the Razer Iskur V2 and drop a pretty penny on a new gaming chair is its lumbar support. But the real value is how well it works for multiple people in your household and, more importantly, how the features work together to support different positions throughout the day, regardless of size.
The bevy of customization options work in unison to create an experience that may take a moment to perfect, but ultimately rewards. After spending my workdays and nights in the Razer Iskur V2, and after complaining about my back being stiff and feeling uncomfortable in my old chair, this gaming chair delivers on its lumbar support promise.
The Razer Iskur V2 is now available in four colors on the Razer website.
