Ratatan is the spiritual successor to the beloved PlayStation series Patapon and comes from senior members of Sony’s sadly defunct Japan Studio including composer Kemmei Adachi, game designer Hiroyuki Kotani and more. It is being developed in partnership between Ratata Arts and TVT Co. Ltd.

Ratatan is a rhythm roguelike action game that combines rhythm games and side-scrolling action, with online co-op gameplay supporting up to 4 players. Intense battles unfold with over 100 characters fighting in massive melee encounters. You’ll defeat the enemies by riding the rhythm of Ratatan’s catchy, toe-tapping soundtrack in this delightful, heartfelt adventure.

  • World 3: Jam Jammer Jungle Journey: Navigate a dense jungle with ancient drum ruins, swamps, and fierce wildlife. Players must face the priestess Tolja So, who is preparing a ritual to resurrect an evil god.
  • World 4: Frozen Flower Fantasia: Explore a garden that appears to be an eternal spring but is now a frozen realm ruled by the icy Glaciera and her followers.
  • New Ratatans: New characters, along with new weapon types, including staves, bombs, scythes, and hammers, will add variety to the battlefield.

Save the Date for More News

Just before the Early Access launch, players can tune in for a special livestream on Sunday, September 14, 2025 held by Ratata Arts. Hosted by voice actor Tomokazu Sugita on the “AGRS Channel” on YouTube, the stream will provide the latest updates, reveal a post-launch roadmap, and share information on upcoming events.

Ratatan will release on Friday, 19th September, 2025, on PC.
