5) Black Widow

Emma Frost Team-Ups one of the best character is Black Widow.

As a sniper, Widow loves juicy, stationary targets, and Emma can provide her with those. Anyone who falls into the clutches of Emma’s Carbon Crush will see themselves planted on the ground, easy pickings for a sniper’s bullet. Or, once Emma has sent her foe packing with Crystal Kick, they will likely be out in the open, if not slammed against a wall, begging for a follow-up shot from an opportunistic Widow.

Natasha further complements Emma’s hands-on approach to combat with her ultimate move, Electro-Plasma Explosion. Enemies caught in the blast become more vulnerable to damage and have their movement slowed. This creates an ideal environment for Emma to slam and kick anyone in her dash range.

4) Wolverine

Emma Frost Team-Ups one of the best character is Wolverine.

Emma’s fellow mutant can be a great enabler for her ultimate. If the other team is relying on a barrier vanguard like Dr. Strange to protect their team from Emma’s mental manipulations, Wolverine can dive in and remove the problem completely. He is then set up to reap the benefits of Emma’s ability as he can hack and slash his way through the helpless victims of his teammate’s power.

Logan also provides another great option for following up on Emma’s Crystal Kick wherever the enemy lands is liking to be within striking distance of the berserker X-Man, allowing him to make quick work of the enemy before he fully wades into the fray alongside Emma.

3) Groot

Emma Frost Team-Ups one of the best character is Groot.

The space-faring sentient tree aids the melee side of his fellow vanguard’s kit extremely well. If placed properly, his walls provide Emma with ample opportunities to punish any foe who challenges her control of a point. Whether it’s to block an escape or provide a convenient object for Emma’s boosted damage when kicking enemies into walls, Groot’s Floral constructs can provide ample opportunities to boost Emma’s combat effectiveness.

The duo can also combine their ultimate to create the most frustrating point denial since Jeff the Landshark first spat heroes over a ledge. Here’s the scenario: You hold the point, and the clock is rapidly running out. Your opponent is dashing on the shortest path to the contest. Groot activates his ultimate ability, catching everyone. Then, Emma starts her ultimate, making it so that even if someone manages to survive, all they can do is slowly walk towards her. And that’s the game.

2) Magneto

Emma Frost Team-Ups one of the best character is Magneto.

This pick goes beyond Emma Frost team-ups abilities. Magneto and Emma combine for arguably the best wombo-combo of ultimate in the game. They both support and take advantage of each other’s effects to a ridiculous degree. Keeping each other safe while also punishing their mutual adversaries. If only they could get along this well in the comics.

Emma’s Psychic Seduction can line up enemies for Magneto Meteor M ultimate beautifully. Magneto also covers for Emma, as any attempt to kill her before her powers take hold is canceled by Magneto pulling all incoming projectiles into his attack. This one-two punch from the pair of Quiet Counsel members makes for a devastating combo that is sure to provide more than a few team kills.

1) Luna Snow

Emma Frost Team-Ups best character is Luna Snow.

I know what you’re thinking. “The best support in Marvel Rivals is a great match for Emma? No Crap!” And while, yes, Luna pairs with pretty much anyone well, her kit feels particularly well-suited for the White Queen. The K-pop star is uniquely situated to keep Emma on her feet while maximizing her effectiveness.

The biggest element of Luna’s kit that makes her a great support for Emma is her Ice Arts ability. When Emma is wading into combat, Luna can not only keep her vanguard teammate alive no matter how many characters clutter her line of sight, but she can also provide an impressive amount of damage with her body-piercing projectiles, further ensuring no one can put the White Queen down.

Luna’s Ice Arts is also great for supporting Emma during her ultimate. Since Emma is largely out in the open with little ability to maneuver while she claims her opponents’ minds, Luna’s strong healing can keep Emma going. But that’s not the only way she can have Emma’s back during her biggest moment.

Luna’s own ultimate can also provide a huge buff to Emma’s large-scale area of effect attack. Using the damage buff option of Luna’s ultimate can make Emma’s Psychic Seduction measurably more impactful, making anyone caught in the area of effect sure to be toast.

There you have it. These are some of the early character combinations that feel great running with Emma Frost. While these combos feel great, there are sure to be more just waiting to be discovered. Good luck finding them all.

Marvel Rivals is available now for free on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with cross-play.
