EA Originals and Surgent Studios shared a new gameplay trailer for Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. The trailer showcases brand new footage of the man character Zau and his journey through the mystical lands of Kenzera. BAFTA-nominated actor and Surgent Studios founder Abubakar Salim, narrates the game.

The trailer allows players a closer look at the abilities of the Sun and Moon masks. Each mask has a unique cosmic power. Upgrade and unlock new skills with the help of these powers and their abilities. These abilities help allow players to defeat enemies and forge new ways to platform throughout the game.

The game takes inspiration from Abubakar’s personal journey dealing with the loss of his father and their deep mutual bond of video games. Tales of Kenzera: ZAU celebrates Abubakar’s father through heartfelt single-player metroidvania-style gameplay. All the while it showcases how greatness comes from resilience and the experience of finding hope and courage after loss. As Zau players must face their own emotions to become a worthy Nganga: a spiritual healer.
