Shueisha Games is publishing the latest installment in the “OPUS” game series, OPUS: Prism Peak, globally. Developed by Taiwanese independent game studio SIGONO, with the development team promising the latest will maintain the series’ spirit. SIGONO Producer and narrative designer Brian Lee shared his excitement over the collaboration.

“Shueisha has deeply influenced my childhood and adolescence. I have been a loyal fan for years. The establishment of Shueisha Games thrilled me. I hope this Taiwan-Japan collaboration will elevate the OPUS brand to new heights.”

Lee, writer of OPUS: Echo of Starsong and an honorable nominee for the Narrative Award at the Independent Games Festival in 2022, writes the latest. Triodust, the composer of the Opus series, returns along with Quality Sound Production. Shueisha Games producer Masakazu Kobayashi commented:

“I am delighted to announce our partnership with SIGONO at the Taipei Game Show! We’ve been discussing this joint development behind the scenes since last year. Combining SIGONO’s exceptional storytelling with our company’s strength will create a powerful synergy. The game is still being developed, but stay tuned for more updates! (And between us, I almost cried after hearing the story outline.)”

The single-player game is a plot-oriented, multi-ending adventure narrative, inviting players into a phantasmagorical world. Every step you take leads you to an unknown path. To find your way home, you must rely on your photography skills to unravel the world’s mysteries.

Set in a “sorrowful yet warm atmosphere,” the game is a story about self-discovery.

About Opus: Prism Peak

OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative adventure where your choices lead to divergent endings. Play as a photographer lost in an ethereal realm, and unveil its mysteries with your camera to find your way home.

For more information about the game and other updates, please visit SIGONO’s Official Website or follow Shueisha Games on Twitter and Facebook.
