Indie Live Expo 2023 — But Why Tho

INDIE Live Expo, the biannual live digital showcase connecting indie game fans all over the world with 70 million total views since its debut in 2020, teases its lineup of more than 300 titles to be highlighted during the two-day indie celebration on Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 3:00 AM PDT / 6:00 AM EDT / 12:00 PM CEST. INDIE Live Expo ’23’s first day of content will shine a digital spotlight on the world of indie games with a plethora of new and updated games across a variety of show segments. Broadcasted simultaneously in English, Japanese, and Chinese on multiple platforms, take in day one’s bite-sized chunks of content during the rapid-fire “INDIE Waves” segment. Indulge in a second day of festivities dubbed “The AFTERSHOW” with let’s plays of select titles from the first day’s reveals.

Witness new game reveals by publisher WSS Playground (Needy Streamer Overload) and Odencat (Meg’s Monsters), as well as updates for games such as Heart of the Machine, BOKURA, Glaciered, Let Bions By Bygones, Omega Crafter, and From Madness with Love, and many more.

“With over 300 indies selected for this summer’s show, this is just a glimpse of the games we have to share,” said Ryuta Konuma, Founder of Ryu’s Office. “The two-day celebration is almost upon us, and we look forward to collaborating with familiar content creators from previous years as well as new simulcasts for this summer’s showcase!”

Tune in to official English broadcasts by a talented trio of bilingual streamers, including gaming content creator High Tension Gaijin “HighGai” alongside returning INDIE Live Expo veterans, streamer and MC Kaori “Kaotan” Horiuchi (Bakusute Sotokanda Icchome) and indie game streamer J-mon.

Content creators worldwide are invited to join the festivities and broadcast as an official live simulcast partner. Indie aficionados of all sizes are welcome to mirror-stream the two-day extravaganza on any live-streaming platform in their chosen language. INDIE Live Expo extends a special thanks to 2023 media partners from around the world including IGN Southeast Asia, ClutchPoints, Sportskeeda, EveryEye, Final Weapon, Boomstick Gaming, Drops De Jogos, Gematsu, Pizza Fria, Bleeding Cool, Screen Rant, Indie Hive, Gamerfocus, GameMag, Honey’s Anime, Multiplayer, But Why Tho?, AusGamers, The Escapist, and Cubiq.

INDIE Live Expo ’23 takes place Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 starting at 3:00 AM PDT / 6:00 AM EDT / 12:00 PM CEST on each day, and will stream live on YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and bilibili in Japanese, English and Chinese.
