Persona 6 Announced and Persona 4 Revival Release Date Revealed at Xbox Games Showcase

The decade-long wait for a new mainline Persona entry is officially winding down. Atlus delivered a double reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, confirming Persona 6 with an atmospheric teaser trailer and locking in a February 18, 2027, release date for Persona 4 Revival.

The studio first unveiled the remake at last year’s showcase, and both announcements came from P-STUDIO, the internal Atlus division that steers the Persona series. Together, they map out a loaded stretch for the franchise.

Here’s everything we learned.

Persona 6 Gets a Cryptic First Teaser

Atlus kept a tight wrap on Persona 6. The teaser trailer reveals nothing about gameplay or a release window, banking entirely on mood. The camera crawls across a rain-soaked graveyard, its headstones blanketed in green fog, eventually settling on a towering grave marker at the center of the frame.

The green color scheme is the detail that will have fans talking. The last three Persona titles have carried a signature color: blue for Persona 3, yellow for Persona 4, red for Persona 5. Persona 6 now claims green as its own, and the graveyard setting suggests a moodier direction that leans closer to Persona 3’s existential weight than Persona 5’s flashy heist energy.

“We are delighted to officially announce our work on the next installment of the Persona series and look forward to sharing the incredible efforts that the entire team is putting into Persona 6 for its release after Persona 4 Revival,” said Kazuhisa Wada, Director at P-STUDIO.

Persona 6 will launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game arrives day one on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass as part of Xbox Play Anywhere. Players can wishlist the game on Xbox and the Microsoft Store now, with PlayStation and Steam wishlists to follow at a later date.

Persona 4 Revival Launches February 18, 2027

Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival Announcement

Persona 4 Revival brought the heftier showing. A new pre-order trailer gave fans their best look yet at the remade Investigation Team and modernized combat inside the TV World, alongside a firm launch date of February 18, 2027.

Originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2008, Persona 4 grew into one of the franchise’s most beloved entries. Its expanded PS Vita version, Persona 4 Golden, further cemented that reputation when it reached PC and modern consoles in subsequent years.

Atlus bills Persona 4 Revival as “a full reimagining” of the original role-playing game (RPG), featuring overhauled visuals and gameplay, along with quality-of-life improvements. The project continues the roadmap Atlus established with Persona 3 Reload and its Episode Aigis expansion, both of which hit in 2024 to strong reviews and solid sales.

Pricing, Editions, and What’s Next for Persona 4 Revival

Persona 4 Revival

Persona 4 Revival will be available in several editions at launch. The Digital Standard Edition costs $69.99. The Digital Deluxe ($84.99) bundles the base game with costume and Persona sets pulled from Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal. The Digital Premium ($99.99) stacks all Deluxe content with background music packs from both titles. A Physical Collector’s Edition ($249.99) rounds out the lineup with an artbook, steelbook, keycap set, keychain, and a Protagonist & Izanagi statue.

Pre-orders are live now on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. PlayStation 5 and Steam pre-orders open tomorrow. Persona 4 Revival will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as part of Xbox Play Anywhere.

Atlus also announced a Persona 4 Revival Broadcast Livestream scheduled for June 18 at 4 pm PT / 7 pm ET. The stream will feature Wada with more details on the remake and will air on the official Atlus West YouTube channel and Steam.
