TV Asahi has announced that the award-winning film The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie will have its Japanese theatrical release on Friday, February 13, 2026. The international release will be announced at a later date, in partnership with HIDIVE, AMC’s anime streaming channel.

Fascinated by the macabre, Kyotaro fantasizes about acting on his twisted thoughts to the detriment of his classmates. His heart was dark until an encounter with Anna lit a spark within it in a classic tale of boy meets girl.

What can we see at Anime Expo 2025?

  • TV Asahi and HIDIVE will also be presenting a sneak peek of The Dangers in My Heart movie at Anime Expo 2025 on July 4, 2025, at 8:00 PM in the JW Diamond panel room. Special guests from Japan will be in attendance, including Chief Director Hiroaki Akagi and producers Yosuke Sakurai and Kazuki Endo.
  • Separately, the special guests will also be at the “TV Asahi Industry Panel with special guests from Science SARU and more!!” featuring new updates for The Dangers in My Heart and more! The panel will be held on July 5, 2025, at 2:45 PM in panel room 403AB. Fans will get an exciting opportunity to learn more about the series!

To commemorate the announcement, a new teaser visual featuring Kyotaro and Anna was released, along with a brand-new teaser PV featuring new animation. The voice actors of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada—Shun Horie and Hina Yomiya, respectively— have shared comments to fans:

“To all 8 billion Kana’s fans out there, thank you for waiting! Now you can finally watch that scene on the massive screen! Yes, that scene! With voices! There’s no greater joy.
