King of the Hill Season 14 is easily one of the few times I have been craving a revival. As a Texan myself, the Mike Judge-created series is one of the best and funniest representations of the state I call home. And now, the new season will see the beloved Hill family navigating a changed Arlen, with original cast members

In addition to the returning members of the cast, King of the Hill Season 14 is also adding Emmy-winning comedian and actor Ronny Chieng, who will join the cast as the returning character, Kahn Souphanousinphone.

The new season picks up several years after the events of Season 13, with Hank and Peggy returning to Arlen after working in Saudi Arabia, and Bobby thriving as a chef in Dallas. The Emmy-winning series originally aired for 13 seasons, comprising over 250 episodes on Fox, with all seasons currently available for streaming on Hulu.

What is King of the Hill Season 14 About?

King of the Hill Season 14 reintroduces viewers to the familiar yet evolved world of Arlen, Texas. After years spent in Saudi Arabia, where Hank pursued his propane career to secure a retirement nest egg, he and Peggy Hill return home. They look forward to reconnecting with their longtime friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill, only to find their hometown has undergone significant changes.

Meanwhile, their son Bobby, now 21, has embraced adulthood in Dallas, living his dream as a chef and enjoying his twenties alongside his former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane. The series, known for its humorous and insightful take on American life, continues to explore the challenges and quirks of everyday existence, now with the added layer of a new generation’s experiences.

Is the 14th season of King of the Hill a reboot?

The excellent news for fans of the show is that the answer is no. Instead of rebooting the series, the original creators of the series are back with as much of the original voice cast as they could manage. Picking up after the events of the original show we’re simply coming back to Arlen.

Series Production Details from Hulu
