Get ready to fling into action! SEGA revealed that Red from Angry Birds is now available as a paid character DLC in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble through Nintendo eShop!

For fans who’ve been waiting for any Angry Birds-related news or appearances, now is your moment. Get ready to soar and smash into your fellow team members. When playing as Red, players will discover that the in-game bananas turn into feathers. A bunch of bananas turns into a tuft of feathers, while the gold banana turns into a glowing feather!

This is arguably the perfect game to throw our favorite bird into the mix. This time, the enemy is not the pigs. Instead, it’s your fellow competitors, making for some potential friendship-ending moments in gameplay. It’s up in the air (see what I did there) whether or not that’s better or worse than a regular play-through of Angry Birds.

Red is not the first paid character DLC to enter the Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble arena, nor will Red be the last. Red joins Crewmate, Sonic the Hedgehog, the amazing kaiju Godzilla, and more as part of the paid character DLC options for the game. Keep your eyes peeled for more fun character additions coming to this rumble-rousing game in the future.

Get into Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble!

Join AiAi and friends in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, where you and up to 16 players can compete online across multiple game modes as you aim to become Top Banana! You can also work together with your favourite bunch in 4-player cooperative mode or slip into a wonderfully crafted story in the all-new Adventure Mode experience!

Here’s what you can expect in the game:
  • Drop into online multiplayer for up to 16 players or local multiplayer for up to 4 players.
  • Rally up to 3 of your friends and slip into a wonderfully crafted story in Adventure mode as AiAi and the gang journey to seek out 7 mysterious artifacts that are said to be the key to locating The Legendary Banana in 200 all-new stages!
  • Show off your style! Customize your character and monkey ball with over 300 stylish items to choose from.
  • Experience thrilling gameplay that is easy to pick up and play, yet challenging and fulfilling to master.
  • Use the new Spin Dash that allows players to sprint past rivals or create new shortcuts to victory!

But how can I play it?

Those who haven’t already picked up the game can give Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble a spin via the available demo on Nintendo eShop at no additional cost! Players will be able to check out the first three Worlds of Adventure mode, along with access to select items. Save data can also be transferred after purchasing the full game to maintain any progress.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is now available on the Nintendo Switch family of systems. For more information about the game, including where to purchase the physical Legendary Banana Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition, visit the official website at www.BananaRumble.com.
