EA Sports FC 25 is the first soccer game from EA that genuinely feels next-gen. The visuals are incredible, and the playstyle is the most authentic experience EA has delivered in years. Tactics were given a complete overhaul, changing the way players approach individual games. Ultimate Team desperately needs a refresh, but soccer fans are still in for a treat with EA Sports FC 25.

From Our Review:

“EA Sports FC 25 looks, feels, and plays like a truly upgraded version of the franchise. It isn’t a perfect sports simulator, but it does a great job of making the game feel alive and takes the franchise another step forward.”

EA Sports FC 25 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

4. NBA 2K25

NBA 2K25

The new ProPLAY system radically changed the franchise’s course in NBA 2K25 and made it one of the best sports games of 2024. No basketball game has ever felt as life-like thanks to a new way of capturing player movements. The WNBA also takes on a more prominent role and no longer feels like an afterthought, which coincides with the league becoming more prominent in real life.

From Our Review:

“NBA 2K25 radically improves gameplay and presents the most authentic NBA experience to date. It builds on systems introduced in last year’s version to give players a more complete package to enjoy.”

NBA 2K25 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

3. F1 Manager 2024

F1 Manager 2024

Sports management games aim to put players in the shoes of actual coaches and managers and few do that as well as F1 Manager 2024 does. Using real-life Formula 1 data helps make the car development and races feel as close to the real thing as possible. F1 Manager 2024 added new features like a mentality system and mechanical failures that make this one of the best sports management games in recent years.

From Our Review:

“F1 Manager 2024 pushes the franchise forward and is more realistic and exciting for players in different and challenging ways. The gameplay remains as fun as ever as it tries to continually tweak the winning formula as the peak of racing management games.”

2. MLB The Show 24

MLB The Show 24

MLB The Show 24 is another incredible addition to one of the best sports game franchises. The Storylines mode draws attention to some important figures in baseball history, and the on-field experience is authentic. Female players have been added to the Road to the Show mode, allowing players to break boundaries and live out their dreams regardless of gender.

From Our Review:

“MLB The Show 24 is another excellent update in one of the best sports game franchises. The Storylines mode continues to shine a light on forgotten Negro League legends, and the addition of women to Road to the Show is a welcomed one. Combine that with a refreshed look and you have the complete baseball package.”

1. EA SPORTS College Football 25

EA SPORTS College Football 26

After eleven years, college football video games finally returned with EA Sports College Football 25. It perfectly captures the college gameday experience and is something players of all experience levels can enjoy. The attention to detail helps bring everyone’s favorite FBS program to life and makes EA Sports College Football 25 the best sports game of 2024.

From Our Review:

“EA SPORTS College Football 25 adeptly brings the joy and chaos of college football to life in a breathtaking way. Nothing has ever captured that gameday feel quite like this and fans should rejoice that the franchise they know and love is back and better than ever for them and new generations to enjoy.”

EA SPORTS College Football 25 is out now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
