It’s been a big year for games, specifically RPGs, and publisher SEGA has brought many of them to players. If you’ve been holding off on buying one of the year’s most talked-about titles, now is the time to pick them up. The SEGA Black Friday sale will feature different deals for different participating platforms and retail sites.

Headlining the SEGA Black Friday sales are some of the most acclaimed titles of the year, including Metaphor: ReFantazio, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Persona 3 Reload, and Unicorn Overlord. The SEGA Black Friday sale is like a who’s who of GOTY lists for 2024.

Additionally, the SEGA BLack Friday promotions feature dozens of previously released SEGA titles, season passes, and content packs, with sales prices up to 75% off of titles from legendary franchises, including Persona, Sonic the Hedgehog, Demon Slayer, Like a Dragon, and more. For Metaphor: ReFantazio and Sonic X Shadows Generations.

Want to check them out? Read the SEGA Black Friday Sales below.

Metaphor: ReFantazio

Metaphor ReFantazio - Sega Black Friday

“Metaphor: Refantazio is the culmination of everything that came before it. It’s a mixture of Atlus’ RPG track record crafted into something bold and new. It takes stock of the fictional stories Atlus has told in the past and how people have resonated with them for years. It’s really easy to look at these works as escapism; if you do, it’s fine. But I’ve been thinking about how there’s so much more to dissect from these concepts and how when something strikes a chord with you, it gets tucked away into your personal core library for reference for the rest of your life.” – Jesse Vitelli

Sonic X Shadow: Generations

Sonic x Shadow Generations

“Sonic X Shadow Generations is a fun, albeit mixed experience. The Sonic side of the game remains as fun and creative as its original release. Shadow’s story has some fantastic level design, and any opportunity to play as the angsty antihero is a welcome one. Let down by dated bosses and a messy hub world, it’s still entirely worth a run through.” – Matt Sowinski

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth - SEGA Black Friday

“Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth feels like a victory lap while simultaneously paving the way for the future of the franchise. Half of the story is a retrospective that feels like a proper send-off for Kazuma Kiryu, but Ichiban’s portion of the story isn’t weak for it. Instead, it feels stronger because Ichiban is part of that legacy, and he fights to create a bright future and build his own legacy of empathy and love. For now, though, their struggles have resulted in a masterpiece.” – Eddie de Santiago

Unicorn Overlord - SEGA Black Friday

“Unicorn Overlord is an homage to classic tactical role-playing games with a well-crafted story, interesting combat, and a fascinating world to explore. Vanillaware delivers a comfortable and familiar game that is unique enough to warrant spending countless hours playing.” – Kyle Foley

Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis

“Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake with amazing features. It would’ve been nice to include extra content seen in the game’s re-releases, such as Persona 3 FES’ “The Answer” epilogue and Portable‘s female protagonist options. But the remake more than makes up for it with all the new changes and upgrades. While far from perfect, the game still stands out as one of the best remakes. It’s a title Persona fans will be proud of.” – Abdul Saad
