Following it’s exceptional third season, the popular reality dating series from Netflix, Single’s Inferno, is returning for Season 4. The series follows a group of attractive singles who are searching for love on a deserted island. The only way to escape for a night of “paradise” at a romantic getaway is to find the perfect match. An addictive and engaging watch, the series becomes the first Netflix Korea unscripted series renewed for a fourth season.

Season 3 pivoted from the format of the prior two installments by introducing a new island, where the contestants were initially split between two groups before meeting. Other changes came with the addition of a new panelist, Season 2 breakout Dex (Kim Jin-young). Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, Hanhae, and Super Junior member Kyuhyun round out the rest of the panelists who offer context and reactions to the antics of the participants.

Dex isn’t the only contestant to see his star rise following his participation in the series. Others include Song Ji-a and Cha Hyun-seung (Physical 100) from Season 1, Shin Seul-ki from Season 2, and Lee Gwan-hee, Yun Ha-jeong, and Choi Hye-seon from Season 3. Lee Gwan-hee in particular stirred up divisive opinions in season three with his back-and-forth affections for different female contestants.

The producers liken casting participants to selecting athletes for the national team and have pledged to continue featuring the hottest and most alluring people in Korea, heightening the anticipation for Season 4’s cast. Producer Kim Jae-won said:

“We will continue to do our best and make sure Season 4 is even more entertaining for you by paying closer attention to the fans’ feedback on Season 3, both positive and negative.”

Fans of the series are eager to see if there will be any further additional changes to the format. Following the popularity of Dex, we’ll have to wait and see too if they add another new panelist.

With Season 4 underway, catch the first three seasons of Single’s Inferno, only on Netflix.
