Korean-based publisher Major9 celebrated the 2.5-year anniversary of its anime turn-based RPG (with gacha mechanics), OUTERPLANE, with a giant new anniversary update. We’ve highlighted some of the key updates here: a new character, a new skin, and an event with rewards.

In addition to the new additions, the developers have also shared that Demiurge Stella, an early-release character, has received a buff to ensure long-time favorites remain competitive amid the evolving battle metas.

What’s new in the OUTERPLANE anniversary update?

New Character — Gnosis Viella

The highlight of the anniversary update is the introduction of a powerful new character, Gnosis Viella. This Dark-element Striker is a Gnosis specializing in the dark art of weakening enemies through poison.

Her toxic skill set has the potential to reshape the player-versus-player (PvP) meta, making even the toughest opponents vulnerable. She’s not just a PvP threat; her mastery of toxins is equally formidable in PvE content, where her devastating Poison Explosion skill can unleash powerful burst damage, allowing players to clear challenging content with ease.

Anniversary Events and Player Rewards

The developers have prepared a series of celebratory events and rewards. Players can dive into the new content by experiencing Gnosis Viella’s special event story, which offers a variety of compelling rewards for the anniversary update.

The anniversary event offers players a chance to obtain several key items and opportunities, including:

  • Selecting Irregular Equipment for heroes
  • New Lobby Mascot
  • Character Re-run event
  • Exclusive skin for the fan-favorite character Demiurge Stella

What is OUTERPLANE?

The official synopsis from Major9 is:

OUTERPLANE is set in Mirsha, a parallel world where beings from many dimensions are summoned. Players take on the role of K, an ordinary man from Earth, who is pulled into this realm, seeking revenge for a betrayal.

Across Mirsha lie remnants of the Scientific Inheritance, lost technologies that fuse science and magic. Inhabiting Mirsha are a host of colorful characters with their own stories and secrets for the player to uncover as they team up and do battle against the forces of evil threatening Mirsha.

Major9 highlighted the following key features for the game:

  • A captivating world born from isekai and revenge, delivering a rich and emotionally charged storyline.
  • Experience an isekai tale spanning over 1.3 million letters with special side stories for each character!
  • Collect and build your ultimate team from a diverse cast of characters, each with unique races and elemental powers that bring endless strategic depth.
  • Endless Turn-Based strategic excellence with skill chains and burst systems!
  • Distinctive characters are brought to life through high-quality 3D animation and voice actors from some of anime’s finest talents.

OUTERPLANE is available now on the Google Play Store for Android and the Apple App Store for iOS.
