The summer game showcase in June has been so stacked that I wound up missing a game that immediately made it to my wishlist: Hello Kitty Party Land. Announced back during the Nintendo showcase in June 2026, the Sanrio game is being brought to Nintendo by publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment America. The game features a massive roster of characters and is now available for preorder from the Nintendo store.

Similar to Lego Party! and Mario Party Jamboree, this game is also a casual party game that features a massive roster of iconic Sanrio characters, putting players into dozens of unique mini games featuring more than 145 characters.

Hello Kitty Party Land is the first-ever title from Sanrio’s game brand, Sanrio Games, to Nintendo consoles. Hello Kitty Adventure Island, from game development studio Sunblink, also brought the Sanrio characters to the Switch, but it wasn’t from Sanrio’s own studio.

What is Hello Kitty Party Land about?

Bandai Namco and Sanrio Games released an official synopsis along with the first look trailer at gameplay, both of which are featured below:

Hello Kitty Party Land takes place in a charming town populated by Hello Kitty and Friends. The party game lets up to 4 players participate in more than 45 mini-games and board games. Players can also customize their avatars with hairstyles, outfits, and other items found throughout the game.

Designed with intuitive controls, the game is perfect for newcomers and experienced players to play solo or together with friends in local or online multiplayer.
