The Heartstopper live-action adaptation is coming to an end, only this time, it’s in the form of a movie. Titled Heartstopper Forever, the film comes after three critically acclaimed and fan-beloved seasons of a Netflix Original Series. And now, we have a trailer.
Prepare to say “hi” to Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) one last time. Heartstopper Forever serves as the finale to the series, and it all comes to an end, or beginning, on July 17, 2026. Netflix has released new photos of the finale movie, offering a sneak peek at what’s ahead for Nick and Charlie.

“These characters have meant a lot to us over the years,” Connor said to Netflix’s TUDUM. “As EPs, it feels like we can really say goodbye to them in a way that feels the most right. It is bittersweet, but it is also a really nice way of ending it.”
Based on Alice Oseman’s Webtoon, the film is written by Oseman, the creator of Heartstopper, executive producer, and graphic novelist, and continues to star Kit Connor and Joe Locke, who are also serving as executive producers for the first time.

The film — which Oseman calls “dramatic and exciting” — will wrap up Nick and Charlie’s journey. After Season 3, the couple is inseparable. But, with Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding new independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. Doubts take hold, and their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet.
Meanwhile, Nick and Charlie’s friends are also navigating the ups and downs of love and friendship, confronting the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on.
