Korean broadcaster tvN has made it official: The Village Barber Season 2 is on the way. Having wrapped Season 1 on April 3, 2026, tvN was quick to announce that the Park Bo-gum-fronted variety show is coming back. A hit with fans and critics alike, The Village Barber highlighted how well variety shows featuring our favorite actors work when we see them in the simplest light instead of the spotlight.

In The Village Barber, actor Park Bo Gum runs a barbershop in a remote rural village together with his close friends Lee Sang-yi and Kwak Dong-yeon. The three actors have made quite a name for themselves, starring in some of the highest-watched and impactful K-dramas, especially those simulcast and released on Netflix, showcasing their international appeal.

To run the barber shop, each of the three men had a special role to play, similar to what we’ve seen in Jinny’s Kitchen (available on Prime Video) and Kian’s Bizarre B&B (available on Netflix). Park Bo-gum was in charge of hair after getting a national barber license, which he had before the show was in the works. Lee Sang-yi also obtained a nail technician license specifically for the show. While he didn’t get a license for the series, Kwak Dong-yeon handled cooking and various assistant duties at the shop.

What is The Village Barber Season 2 release date?
