After launching in 2021, Ubisoft’s Riders Republic has kept on going. The title, which focuses on building a multiplayer playground for open-world sports fanatics, is taking on new life through a brand-new collaboration with Quicksilver and DC Shoes for Riders Republic Season 18.

Today, Ubisoft announced a new partnership with Authentic Brands Group, a sports and lifestyle platform behind some of the biggest action and outdoor sports brands. For players looking to add a little flair to their characters, Quiksilver and DC Shoes are coming to Riders Republic, bringing new gear, toys, and outfits inspired by real action sports culture.

“Quiksilver and DC Shoes have long been embedded in the culture of action and outdoor sports, and Riders Republic offers a natural extension of that world,” said Brett Glauser, VP of Brand, Action and Outdoor Sports at Authentic Brands Group, owner of the Quiksilver and DC Shoes brands, in a press release from Ubisoft. “Partnering with Ubisoft allows us to bring these brands into an immersive environment where players can experience the style, attitude, and energy of action sports in new ways.”

If you’ve seen the X-Games, you know exactly what to expect (or walked into a Zumiez or Pacsun). This partnership will roll out over three seasons, with new brands and gear dropping along the way, ensuring the title’s longevity.

“This collaboration reinforces Riders Republic’s commitment to delivering a dynamic and evolving player experience,” Alexandre Enklaar, Riders Republic Live Producer at Ubisoft Annecy, said via a press release. “Aligning seasonal content with the energy and identity of each brand supports rich seasonal storytelling, celebrates the diversity of action sports, and unlocks new opportunities for fans to engage with the brands that inspire them.”

This collaboration is bringing the brands you know and love in streetwear fashion to your game. In addition to Quicksilver and DC Shoes, Riders Republic will also be welcoming Roxy, Volcom, Element, and more, finishing its Infinity Gauntlet of early aughts skater/X-games fashion.

Skateboarding Update: New controls are making skateboarding easier for players with the following updates: Push the trigger fully for fast board flips, press lightly for slow, stylish rotations, and ultimately, players will have more control to perfect their trick style.

Season Progression Changes: Ubisoft has also reworked progression changes so that players unlock early tiers faster, later tiers are more challenging, and players can progress to unlock:

What is Riders Republic?

Riders Republic - But Why Tho

If you’re unfamiliar with Riders Republic, the game pits you against over 50 players simultaneously in a massive multiplayer playground in an all-out mass start race. Collide, grind, and fight your way to the finish to win, and of course, customize your character to show off your style to your friends or show up the competition.

It’s here where the game’s collaborations come in. You can bike, ski, snowboard, or wingsuit through a seamless open world in Career mode or multiplayer events and do so through iconic US national parks like Yosemite, Zion, and Bryce Canyon. Now in Season 18, the game may have a lot to get through, but the investment of brands bodes well for its future.
