BloodRayne: Definitive Collection Is On The Way from Ziggurat Interactive To PS5 And Switch

Look, I have always been obsessed with vampires, and yes, that extended to me playing the classic (fight me) 2000s BloodRayne video games way too much. I even paid money to see the abysmal live-action film in theaters (just the first one, though). But having been years since I thought of Rayne, I didn’t know how excited I would be when Ziggurat Interactive announced that our girl is coming to PS5 and Switch with the BloodRayne: Definitive Collection.

The 20th anniversary celebration may not be the brand new game I used to hope for, but the new physical release bundles all three main entries in the iconic vampire franchise for the very first time, giving console players a chance to relive the crimson adventures of the dhampir, Rayne.

What to expect from the BloodRayne: Definitive Collection?

Bloodrayne Definitive Collection

The BloodRayne: Definitive Collection features the complete trilogy, starring the series’ protagonist, the half-human, half-vampire Rayne, who has long been a staple of action games. The collection includes the first two mainline titles, which have been “ReVamped” with modern enhancements, as well as the later 2D entry.

It should be noted that this isn’t the first time that Bloodrayne has come to new audiences. Both the first and second in the series have seen a new life of the Terminal Cut variety in 2020. Additionally, this isn’t a new take on the games, but rather a physical bundled release of the trilogy as it exists, with the most recent ReVamped titles included.

If you haven’t played the games before, check out the brief descriptions below:

  • BloodRayne: The original adventure sees Rayne confronting the forces of the Third Reich in blood-soaked conflicts.
  • BloodRayne 2: Rayne goes on a rampage, turning her blades against her own vampire siblings.
  • BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites: This 2D hack-and-slash title features the return of Rayne’s original voice actress, Laura Bailey, who joins Troy Baker as they slash through an underground castle.

Details regarding the limited pre-order window for these collector’s editions have not been announced yet; however, the global shipping of these physical copies is set to coincide with the digital release of the Collection.

BloodRayne: Definitive Collection will release on [release date to be announced] on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
