Magic The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven

Release Date: April 2026

We’re returning to Arcavios and the greatest school in the Multiverse, Strixhaven University. You’ll set forth with the adventure-hungry cohort from Lorwyn Eclipsed. With this return to Strixhave, we’ll be taking a closer look at off-campus life as these brave students explore what lies beyond the walls of their colleges.

Magic The Gathering

This announcement also came with something else: Strixhaven: Omens of Chaos. The first Magic: The Gathering novel, Omens of Chaos, is a brand-new young-adult novel written by Seanan McGuire. It will follow a different group of Strixhaven students in their quest to discover who they’re meant to be—and where, in the wide Multiverse, they might belong. It will also come with a Command Tower promo card that comes with the novel.

Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit

Magic The Gathering

Release Date: August 2026

While it may not be an Unexpected Journey, we’re excited to announce that Magic is traveling back to Middle-earth for Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit. Completing J.R.R. Tolkien’s world, Magic is allowing players to follow the adventurous hobbit Bilbo Baggins and his party on their journey to the Lonely Mountain (and back again). Players will battle flesh-eating Trolls, tell Riddles in the Dark, and confront Smaug himself, oh, and maybe just find “My Precious.” Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit will be on tabletop and MTG Arena.

Reality Fracture

Release Date: October 2026

Years of subtle machinations will finally shatter the facade, revealing a villain you’ll have to see to believe. But not just yet. More will be unveiled soon enough …
We’ll have more to share about Reality Fracture in the future. For now, keep an eye on Magic Story to see how this saga unfolds.

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek

Star Trek Set Magic The Gathering

Release Date: November 2026

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek is set to take players to the final frontier. Gene Roddenberry’s iconic sci-fi classic has a Captain for every generation. A gateway sci-fi series, now, it can be someone’s gateway into Magic.  The Star Trek set will feature characters, stories, and (of course) spaceships from the entire franchise.

This set has something for every Star Trek fan, and now that vehicles can be Commanders, well, Edge of Eternities is making even more sense. As of right now, the art we have seen shows the USS Enterprise, Captain Kirk (the William Shatner one), a Klingon, and Gowron.  This set will cover all of Star Trek’s history from the beginning to Strange New Worlds.

The Magic team at Wizards of the Coast has been doing an exciting job adapting different universes to Magic’s mechanics, and now that this legacy has been tapped, I’m sure we’ll get the chance to see historic story moments and the robust line-up of Captains and their crew.

The Star Trek full set will make the voyage to tabletop Magic and MTG Arena.

Magic Con Atlants runs from September 26, 2025, through September 29, 2025.
