Spring anime is getting even larger with Your Forma, the winner of the 27th Dengeki Novel Prize “Grand Prize.” A highly acclaimed sci-fi anime, Your Forma, has revealed its release date, main cast, and some words from the series creator.

Set in a world where an invasive information device, known as “Your Forma,” is implanted into human brains—recording everything they see, hear, and feel—this sci-fi thriller follows the brilliant investigator Echika, and her partner Harold, an android known as an “Amicus,” as they dive into collective data to solve criminal cases.

In 1992, a pandemic of viral encephalitis shook the world, and humans had to choose to evolve or die out. Now, the medical technology that saved humanity has evolved into an invasive information device implanted into the brain, the titular “Your Forma.” Under constant surveillance, every sight, sound, and even emotion is recorded. Investigating major crimes means diving into the collective data, a job reserved for special detectives called “Electronic Investigators.”

Enter our protagonist, Echika Hieda. A prodigious “Electronic Investigator” assigned at an astonishingly young age, Echika stands isolated by her exceptional talent. Her newly assigned partner is Harold, a blonde, blue-eyed humanoid “Amicus.” Together, this unrivaled duo will expose every hidden secret.

Your Forma Talent Offers Comments About The Project

Your Forma

Original Author Mareho Kikuishi is excited about the Geno Studio animated (and Twin Engine-produced) series. They noted, “I’m deeply grateful to see my work brought to life with such beautiful visuals, music, and top-notch performances. The anime begins from Volume 2 of the novels, offering even longtime readers a fresh look at how Echika and Harold’s relationship evolves in this vibrant world. I hope you’ll enjoy every moment.”

Kana Hanazawa will be taking on the role of Echika, saying, “I am very happy because I previously voiced Echika in the PV of the novel and didn’t think I would be able to continue in the anime as well. The recording sessions have already finished, but as a fan of the work, I am looking forward to the broadcast to see how the electric investigation scene and Harold’s beauty will be portrayed!”

Additionally, Kensho Ono will be taking on the role of Harold. “In a world where humanoids called “Amicus” are fully integrated into society, Harold—the character I play—is an Amicus who behaves even more human-like than most humans. He pairs up with Echika, who tends to keep people at arm’s length, and I hope you’ll enjoy watching them gradually grow closer as they solve various cases together,” commented about his new role.

Director Takaharu Ozaki added this: “Who hasn’t wished they could read someone’s mind? As Echika and Harold pursue cases through “Densaku,” they’ll confront those very desires, facing one another and themselves. Can humans and machines connect on a deeper, emotional level?

For the anime adaptation, we decided to focus on the “black box” that holds the key to Harold’s mysterious way of thinking as an Amicus robot, starting the story from Volume 2 of the original series. From the cybernetic perspectives of the Your Forma devices to the intense Densaku sequences as they track down criminals, there’s plenty to look forward to.”

Connected by a cable—their lifeline for the “Brain Dive” process clues viewers into the challenging cases they will face in this new sci-fi detective anime. The vibrant, colorful background evokes the electronic mindscapes they will explore.

The teaser also showcases Echika diving into a radiant cyber world, dynamic action sequences, and stylish, cosmopolitan settings from St. Petersburg to London. Viewers can also look forward to glimpses of the endearing relationship between Echika, the investigative prodigy, and Harold, her android partner, as their trust and camaraderie evolve with each episode when the release date rolls around.
