Get excited because Toho International, the distributor behind Godzilla Minus One, will release My Hero Academia: You’re Next in the US this fall! Premiering in theaters on October 11, fans can experience the film through both English subtitle and dub releases. Be sure to mark that date on your calendar!
The North American premiere date was revealed during a My Hero Academia Special Event at the 2024 Anime Expo in Los Angeles this past weekend. Fans were shown an exclusive look at the first 15 minutes of the film, and voice talent from the film participated in the panel.
The panel featured Daiki Yamashita (voice actor of Izuku Midoriya), Kenta Miyake (voice actor of All Might), Mamoru Miyano (voice actor of Giulio Gandini in My Hero Academia: You’re Next), and Meru Nukumi (voice actor of Anna Scervino in My Hero Academia: You’re Next).
My Hero Academia is in its 7th season, and you can catch up on episodes on Crunchyroll. The show follows Izuku, “who has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. In a world where eighty percent of the population has some super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.”
