For fans of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series, continue to follow their exploits through their digital comic series on WEBTOON. The popular webcomics app WEBTOON has announced that through a collaboration with Dark Horse Comics and Nickelodeon, the full Avatar: The Last Airbender digital comic series will arrive on WEBTOON. The first three episodes launched on March 22 and are available to fans for free.

The series brings the world of Avatar to readers in WEBTOON’s vertical scroll format, giving fans a new way to enjoy these stories. The series has quickly amassed 1.3 million views on the platform as of March 25. For fans who are looking for more stories surrounding Team Avatar but aren’t looking to the live-action remake, this presents the perfect avenue.

The Avatar: The Last Airbender comics begins with Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Promise. Each book in the comic series will be broken up into a series of webcomic episodes, where readers can explore the world of the Avatar with Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and the rest of this iconic cast of characters, now in vertical scroll format!

Now, readers can immerse themselves in the rich storytelling and stunning artwork of these graphic novels in a new way,” said David S. Synopsis

After the conclusion of the Hundred Year War, Avatar Aang and his friends, Zuko, Sokka, Katara, and Toph work to heal the Four Elemental Nations and usher in a new age of progress. Follow the gang as they discover secrets of the past, battle new threats, heal old wounds and make new friends in these stories that take place between the hit animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
