Jujutsu Kaisen Heads To JUMP FESTA ‘24 Super Stage RED

Yesterday, we shared the news about Haikyu!! and JUMP FESTA. Well, get excited for more JUMP FESTA news. Shueisha Inc. has announced details of the Jujutsu Kaisen stage on Super Stage RED happening at the annual event JUMP FESTA ’24. JUMP FESTA will be held December 16-17, 2023 (JST) at Makuhari Messe. JUMP Super Stage RED will feature 10 popular hit titles and will be livestreamed on the official YouTube channel “JUMP Channel” so that overseas fans can enjoy the event. JUMP Super Stage RED will be livestreamed outside Japan with simultaneous English interpretation.

Jujutsu Kaisen, currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, depicts a world of unprecedented battles that revolve around curses. The mega-popular series has 24 published volumes, and the cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 80 million copies, including digital versions. The first season of the TV anime produced by MAPPA was broadcast in 2020, and the feature film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which was released in 2021, grossed over 26.5 billion yen at the worldwide box office and drew 20.51 million viewers worldwide. The second season of the TV anime began broadcasting in July 2023, and it continues to create a lot of shock and buzz.

The opening act of the stage will be an impressive special video featuring four popular voice actors and using the latest AR technology that can only be seen at JUMP FESTA. In addition, there will be a live talk portion about the second season anime “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” and “Shibuya Incident,” which have gained huge popularity this year and are currently reaching their climax, as well as comments from the original author, Gege Akutami, which can only be heard here. This is a highly anticipated stage full of highlights, including a live reading of parts of the original manga that have not yet been animated. (There may be story spoilers for the anime.)
