Komi Can’t Communicate is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday since May 2016, with its chapters collected in twenty-three tankōbon volumes as of October 2021. The series is licensed in North America by Viz Media.  Shouko Komi suffers from extreme anxiety which has resulted in having issues communicating with others. While everyone else regards Komi as an unapproachable beautiful goddess they are all beneath. Luckily her classmate Hitohito Tadano is the only one who realizes Komi’s communicate disorder. The truth is that Komi doesn’t want to be perceived as popular or unapproachable. All she really wanted was friends. And so Tadano makes it his mission to help Komi on her quest to make 100 friends.

The Walking Cat: A Cat’s-Eye-View of the Zombie Apocalypse is a horror manga written and illustrated by mangaka Tomo Kitaoka. The manga is a post-apocalyptic survival horror tale about a cat’s journey following society’s collapse. Zombies have taken over and roam the earth. Now civilization as humans once knew it is dead. When Jin, a young man trying to survive the chaos, rescues a cat from certain death, the unlikely duo sets off on a quest to find a mysterious island where Jin’s wife might be alive.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It stars Tom Holland alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire. Following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter Parker asks Dr. Stephen Strange to perform a spell that will  to make his Spider-Man identity a secret again following its public revelation. When the spell goes wrong, the multiverse is broken open which allows supervillains and heroes from alternate realities to enter Parker’s universe.

The Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao is A feminist sci-fi story inspired by Chinese history? Sign us up. Iron Widow is a richly imagined, nonstop alien adventure that is truly unlike anything we’ve ever read. A vibrant and unrelenting trio of main characters make this story a true standout, along with a shocking ending that will leave readers clamoring for the sequel.

The Tragedy of Macbeth is a 2021 American historical thriller film written and directed by Joel Coen and based on the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. It is the first film directed by one of the Coen brothers without the other’s involvement. The film stars Denzel Washington, Frances McDormand (who also produced the film), Bertie Carvel, Alex Hassell, Corey Hawkins, Harry Melling, and Brendan Gleeson.

Hellbound, Happiness, Two 2021 South Korean dramas that coincidentally work as two sides of the same coin, or mirror if you will, portraying the worst toxic traits of humanity. Directed and co-written by Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Kyu-seok, Hellbound is a supernatural thriller where people are tormented and live in fear of their souls being sent to hell by three mysterious and violent creatures who hunt down supposed sinners.

Written by Han Sang-woon, and directed by Ahn Gil-ho Happiness uses the outbreak of a deadly virus leads to the erosion of society, but on a micro scale when residents in an upscale Seoul condominium are isolated. Not knowing who to trust or where danger might lurk, some people band together for survival, and some give into their worst characteristics. Greed, Lust, anger and selfishness are juxtaposed effectively against, faith, optimism, trust and charity.
