Get ready to go goblin modr when Secret Lair drops the Goblin Storm Commander deck on May 18, 2026. Wizards of the Coast has announced an upcoming Secret Lair Commander Deck: Goblin Storm, a new Commander Deck featuring eccentric strategies and incredible art by Wizard of Barge.
Available exclusively through Secret Lair, the Commander deck was spoiled slightly when a shipping error led to some of the mono-red cards being highlighted before an official announcement with Dandan deck shipments. Now, with the very special mono-red Commander deck’s announcement, players get a full look at the deck list.

“Secret Lair has been long known for its love of meteorological phenomena, and to answer the timeless philosophical question, ‘How many Goblins can I accumulate after I storm off to bash my opponents’ face in?’” said Secret Lair Principal Product Lead Steve Sunu. “If you understood any of that last sentence, this is the deck for you! We tasked Wizards of the Coast’s best designers and asked one of Secret Lair’s fan-favorite artists—and longtime Goblin enjoyer—to help us help you develop your own answer to that question.”
This Commander deck joins the full deck offerings that Secret Lair has begun expanding on. This started first with the brand’s Dandan deck and was followed by the announcement of Mark Rosewater’s Mood Swings, a deck-based game that is adjacent to but not the same as Magic. You can check out our hands-on demo session with Mark Rosewater at MagicCon Las Vegas here.
What is the Goblin Storm Commander Deck?
This Secret Lair deck is designed by Magic: The Gathering’s Carmen Klomparens and Eli Rice. And the official description is:
This deck delivers aggressive, fast-paced Goblin attacks alongside the patience and control of the Storm mechanic, creating a truly unique play experience. Paired with the playful, distinctive style of Wizard of Barge, which depicts the Goblins of Magic as silly, loveable little gobbos, this 100-card Commander Deck is unlike any other.
For those looking for collectible reasons to pick up the deck, Goblin Storm includes 12 borderless foil cards with brand-new art for cards including Zada, Hedron Grinder, Krenko, Mob Boss, Broadside Bombadiers, Grapeshot, Roaming Throne, and more. And for those who get excited about pretty basic land cards (hi, that’s me), the deck will also feature 22 brand-new borderless basic Mountains in Wizard of Barge’s signature style.
Additionally, the deck comes in a special deck box, Foil Goblin tokens, a Storm Count tracker with new Wizard of Barge art, a storage box to keep your new storm contained, and more. You can find a full decklist here.
