The K-pop group aespa has already left its mark on gaming with multiple in-game collaborations, including Capcom’s Street Fighter 6. Now? They’re coming for periphreals, and I couldn’t be happier. Higround has announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration with aespa. This collab marks the first time the brand has collaborated with a K-pop group. Gaming continues to embrace K-pop’s influence with a long list of collaborations coming to video games across genres and regions.

BTS’s Min Yoongi (SUGA), who collaborated with Halsey for Diablo IV, Le Sserafim, who helped launch Overwatch 2, Blackpink’s collaboration with PUBG Mobile, G(i)dle, New Jeans, and TWICE, who have all collaborated with RIOT’s League of Legends, Enhypen’s Pokémon collab, BTS’s Kim Seok-jin (Jin), who collaborated with MapleStory, Dreamcatcher’s time with King’s Raid, and Stray Kids’ item featured in NBA 2K24, and many more. And the list keeps growing.

In a release to press, Sam Adams, Higround’s Marketing Manager commented:

“This collaboration with Aespa is a monumental moment for Higround. We’ve always been about fusing culture with gaming, and K-pop has always been one of the most powerful global forces. Partnering with Aespa, whose music and aesthetic are truly iconic, allowed us to merge our design vision with theirs, creating a truly unified aesthetic.

We know a huge overlap exists between K-pop fans and gamers, and we’re proud to be the first to deliver a beautiful, high-quality product that perfectly captures the energy at the direct intersection of these two worlds. Additionally, I’m personally a huge fan of Aespa so this collaboration was a no-brainer.”
