Twelve is an eight-episode series, set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on August 23. The new poster teases an electrifying battle between good and evil, sparking anticipation ahead of the premiere. While the promotional material highlights the conflict between Ma Dong-seok’s Tae San and Park Hye-sik’s Ogui, Seo In-guk’s character remains a mystery.

What is Disney+’s Twelve?

The series synopsis leaves a lot shrouded in mystery: “When evil once again begins to rise, the ‘Twelve’ will be brought together under Tae-san’s leadership to save modern-day Seoul and the Korean peninsula from being consumed by darkness.”

Twelve draws inspiration from the legend of the 12 zodiac animals of East Asian lore. The story follows 12 angels who once descended to Earth in physical form to protect the Korean Peninsula from powerful evil spirits. After a great sacrifice, they successfully sealed these evil forces behind the gates of hell and restored peace. However, centuries later, the evil is stirring once more, threatening to unleash chaos upon the world. The angels must now regroup to face the revived darkness.

The newly released poster highlights a tense standoff between Ma Dong Seok and Park Hyung Sik. Behind them, a tiger and a crow— the zodiac symbols of their characters—loom, setting up the coming battle. And of course, the tagline, “Stand against the forces of evil and save the world!” sets the tone for a series filled with action sequences.
