HIDIVE, the streaming service from AMC Networks, has released the first-ever English-subtitled teaser trailer for the upcoming supernatural action anime series Petals of Reincarnation. The announcement celebrates the global broadcast of the highly anticipated series, which is set to premiere in 2026.
Created by Mikihisa Konishi and published by MAG Garden, Petals of Reincarnation began serialization in May 2014 in Monthly Comic Garden and then MAGCOMI starting in December 2015. The manga series now spans 22 volumes to date, with more than 3,000,000 copies in print worldwide. An English language version is available on the Mangamo mobile app.

The anime is currently in production with director Shun Kudo and animation by BENTEN Film. The new key visual for Petals of Reincarnation also features the official English-language logo created for audiences in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
What is Petals of Reincarnation About?
The series synopsis, as shared by HIDIVE, paints the picture of a supernatural thriller. Growing up constantly compared to his genius older brother, Toya Senji has a deep inferiority complex over his perceived lack of talent. For Toya, his academic achievement is his final stronghold. But, despite consistently ranking in the top 100 in national mock exams, he remains dissatisfied.
One day, Toya witnesses his classmate Haito Luo Buffet engage in battle with a serial killer. Afterwards, he finds out about the supernatural “Stem of Reincarnation” and that Haito is what’s called a “Returner.” In disbelief, Toya learns that with the power of the “Stem of Reincarnation,” you can return from self-inflicted death and thereby gain the talents of a past life.
