Apple TV+ has announced a new six-episode seventh season for its Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning spy drama Slow Horses, starring Academy Award winner Sir Gary Oldman. Slow Horses Season 7 will be adapted from the “Bad Actors” novel in the Mick Herron Slough House book series. The complete first four seasons are currently streaming on Apple TV+, with season five scheduled to premiere on September 24, 2025.
What will happen in Slow Horses Season 7?
In Slow Horses Season 7, Jackson Lamb and his team of Slow Horses will be on a mission to identify and neutralize a mole embedded within the British Government before the individual can destabilize the state. The series is a darkly humorous espionage drama centered on a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents assigned to Slough House, an MI5 outpost for those whose careers have faltered. Oldman portrays Jackson Lamb, the insightful yet ill-tempered leader of this group of spies, who often navigate the complexities of the espionage world despite their past blunders.
Jay Hunt, creative director, Europe, Apple TV+, commented on the series’ continued success: “Slow Horses has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action. I’m delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary’s magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses slightly inept spycraft.”
