Bringing together both sci-fi properties was a natural fit last time, but what is Shift Up doing to level up this NIKKE x Evangelion crossover? Level Infinite announced that Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, the sci-fi RPG shooter developed and self-published by Shift UP, will launch its second collaboration with the iconic anime franchise Evangelion. But that’s not all, NIKKE and Stellar Blade are also getting a crossover event this summer.

What to expect from the NIKKE x Evangelion Crossover?

The NIKKE x Evangelion event will begin on February 20, 2025. The crossover features a special storyline set in the world of Evangelion as well as fan-favorite characters like Asuka: WILLE, Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name), and Sakura (Toji’s sister).

Listening to player responses showing the overwhelming popularity of last summer’s first collaboration, Asuka Shikinami Langley, Rei Ayanami, and Mari Makinami Illustrious will be available again for players. Additionally, players can also look forward to exclusive character outfits (including free skins), a stunning 3D event map and a new mini-game.

The collaboration trailer released today unveils the newly introduced characters Asuka: WILLE, Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name), and Sakura, immersing viewers in a high-stakes battle against the backdrop of the Red Sea. The action-packed footage showcases Evangelion Unit Two and Evangelion Mark.09 in dramatic combat sequences alongside the Ark’s formidable battleship Admire. The tension escalates as they engage in a thrilling showdown against the enigmatic Gatekeeper, promising an unforgettable clash of power and strategy.

What to expect from the NIKKE x Stellar Blade Crossover?

During Sony’s State of Play event, Shift Up confirmed a June 2025 launch date for the previously announced Stellar Blade x NIKKE in-game collaboration. The studio developed both games, and it remains secretive about what exactly is in store for players.

That said, this crossover promises to celebrate the unique connection between these games. In our review of Stellar Blade, our critic had this to say: “Stellar Blade is a fantastic addition to the PlayStation-exclusive library. The combat is slick and fun, the story deep and interesting, and the set pieces all bigger than the last. It’s obvious why Sony scooped this one up, fitting into its story-rich third-party pedigree of titles. While there are a few issues, these all fade the deeper you go. Shift Up has a hit on their hands, and I can’t wait to see what they can do with a sequel.”

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is now available globally for download on the iOS App Store, Google Play, and Windows PC.
