EA and HGTV kick off a special collaboration between the popular interior design game Design Home and the hit TV series Fixer to Fabulous, which will be live on February 19—with House Hunters also joining the collaboration. But, for me, it’s the former that marks the standout in this collaboration, given that much of my choices in real-life decor have come from Dave and Jenny.
The home-renovating couple Dave & Jenny Marrs are the people behind Fixer to Fabulous, a series where they renovate classic homes around their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas. And now, they’re bringing the Marrs Barn to games. In this collaboration with HGTV, players can compete in new weekly challenges inspired by the series, including “Bentonville Beauty” and “Arkansas Amazement.”
Additionally, they can complete weekly challenges based on rooms in House Hunters. All of which invite them to create their best designs using real-world brands, furniture & decor, and submit their work to be voted on by other players for in-game rewards.
EA’s Design Home will also be featured in an upcoming Season 6 episode of Fixer to Fabulous airing on March 25 at 8|7c on HGTV and available to stream the next day on Max and Discovery+, where hosts Dave and Jenny Marrs take a break from their building and design jobs to play challenges and show off their creativity to each other.
