Inspired by his film of the same name, Guy Ritchie (Wrath of Man, Sherlock Holmes) brings the story of The Gentlemen to Netflix. The drama series introduces a new class of criminals in the official teaser. Ritchie directs the first two episodes and serves as creator, co-writer, and executive producer.

While the 2020 film stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, and more, the series brings with it new faces. Theo James leads the charge as The Duke of Halstead, Eddie Horniman. Eddie finds himself embroiled in criminality after inheriting his father’s estate. The series promises impeccable costuming, stylish set design, and a smattering of shocking bloodshed. The trailer doesn’t give away too much of the actual plot but makes sure to impress with tone and aesthetics with perfectly tailored suits and flashy sports cars.
