During the Xbox Partner Preview, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (RGG Studio) revealed Dondoko Island, an expansive side mode within the upcoming chaotic RPG adventure title Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The new mode will bring a little bit of a cozy to the game. Dondoko Island is a variety of unique experiences that can be enjoyed within the game and delivers an adventure so big it spans the Pacific.

Off the shore of Honolulu City lies Dondoko Island, a deserted island full of illegally dumped trash that has the potential to be so much more. With the help of new friends, his trusty baseball bat, and other tools, Ichiban can transform the island by cleaning up garbage and recycling those materials into DIY furniture, buildings, and more. You can also flex your managerial muscle and open the island’s gates to patrons. The blue Hawaiian sky’s the limit to creating the resort of your dreams on Dondoko Island!

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth iteration in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s flagship series and the culmination of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Two larger-than-life heroes brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Ichiban Kasuga, an unstoppable underdog who’s no stranger to crawling up from rock bottom, and Kazuma Kiryu, a broken man facing down his last days. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches worldwide on January 26, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam.

The trailer shows many scenes from the game and asks, What do Yazuka do when they need a break from life? The answer is to ride a dolphin to an island and start fixing it up. As Ichiban, you will fish, buy and make furniture, and much more. The island is all yours to transform.
