Escape From Tarkov Arena Embraces Summer Chill In New Update

From BattleState Games, the patch 0.3.1 update for Escape From Tarkov Arena has been released. Its main addition is a new map called Iceberg, now available in the BlastGang and CheckPoint modes.

Arena gladiators have already grown used to Tarkov’s harsh landscapes — after all, what difference does it make where you spill blood, yours or someone else’s? But this time, they’ll be greeted with luxury. The kind of luxury that makes you feel guilty for a missed shot that ruins the hotel’s expensive finish.

Once a forgotten Soviet resort in the Norvinsk region, the building was transformed into a VIP hotel in the early 2000s. New rumors are spreading through the city: the Escape From Tarkov Arena’s organizer has bought the hotel, and silence will never return to this place.

The developers at Battlestate Games have filled the map with generous references to Assassin’s Creed, Helldivers, Stephen King’s novels, and Tarantino’s films. Iceberg is both an action movie and a horror — players might feel like they’ve stepped into The Shining, 1408, or even Four Rooms.

In addition, patch 0.3.1 introduces ammo replenishment crates. Using them restores the loadout and pockets to their initial setup. These crates will appear in the Last Hero and CheckPoint modes, with 2–3 and 3–4 crates per match, respectively.

To learn more about everything available in the latest patch update, go to BattleState Games’ website.

More About Free Weekend, Discounts, and Twitch Drops in Escape From Tarkov Arena

A new Free Weekend event is kicking off to celebrate the start of the summer season. It runs from 6:00 PM MSK on May 30 to 6:00 PM MSK on June 2.

Along with free access, players can expect a new task chain and double XP in Battlepass Season 0. At the same time, 20% discounts go live — and they’ll last one day longer, until 6:00 PM MSK on June 3. This gives new players a bit of time to make an informed choice about becoming a gladiator in Escape From Tarkov Arena.

From May 30 to June 3, Twitch Drops will also be enabled for the entire Escape From Tarkov Arena category. Players will be able to earn in-game rewards just by watching streams. Eight streaming sessions are planned, each lasting 12 hours, so viewers can tune in during both daytime and nighttime slots.

Additionally, discounts are launching on the Epic Games Store. Needless to say, this is a lot made available to ensure players get the full breadth of fun and battle-heavy chaos this gaming experience entails.

Escape From Tarkov Arena, now available on the platform, is taking part in the EGS Spring Sale — so to avoid missing the chance to grab the game at a good price, you can already add it to your cart or wishlist via the store page.

What is Escape from Tarkov Arena?

Escape from Tarkov Arena combines the hardcore mechanics of Escape from Tarkov and the fast-paced gameplay of session matches, offering players a new perspective on the Tarkov universe.

The city of Tarkov is overrun with chaos. While corporations and private military companies wage their war in the streets, a mysterious group, the Masters of Arena, led by Ref, operate in the shadows. They have created clandestine fighting grounds where the best warriors battle for glory, money, and survival.

You are an Arena gladiator. Will you become the next legend?

Here are the expected features players can expect:

  • Tactical team matches and free-for-all all gunfights
  • Realistic weapon and health mechanics
  • Variety of arenas with unique combat conditions
  • 200+ weapons and hundreds of attachments from Escape from Tarkov
  • Ranked game modes and Esports tournaments
